with the apparent demise of setanta, any idea who will get the NRL matches???

A bloke down the pub told me ESPN have got the rights to some of the soccer that Setanta had.

I hope NRL goes back to Sky Sports. I thought their coverage of NRL was pretty good.

Setanta Sports went off air at 6pm tonight. There goes State Of Origin then unless it appears on Sky Sports somehow and fast.

setanta ireland is still broadcasting and its says its on in the morning so fingers crossed

No chance I dont think, I think that will go too, as its in admin I would have thought by law they cannot show anything in the UK

Setanata ireland and its internaitonal branches are still operating but you cant get live coverage in UK on setanta ireland. in the past in NI it blocked live feeds but i think that might change now given its only broadcasting in NI and ROI. or at least i bloody hope it is!

I cant see anybody but sky getting the NRL games, and I would ike to think they would be interested

Thats exactly what I was meaning they will no longer have the rights in the UK to broadcast any live events apart from NI

sorry, just a bit peeved at the timing of it all.
