That's them dead now, no Premier League and without that paying subs will plumet and cause them to lose more rights. They also didn't pay the SPL recently so they'll lose that soon as well.

NRL, FA Cup, International football, Guinness Premiership, US PGA, UFC, IPL, Boxing, SPL, as well as those 46 matches all up for grabs soon.

Don't gloat too much. The loss of Setanta means that there isn't even a remote possibility of an alternative bidder to Sky for the next lot of RL TV rights, so we'll just have to take whatever they condescend to give us.

And don't expect to see The Footy Show anytime soon again either....

Better to have guaranteed money than the situation Rugby Union clubs are in now. They had a shared deal between Setanta and Sky with 43 live games with Setanta along with 26 more live games with Sky for next season.

That deal will now die and Sky probably won't pick up the games as Guinness Premiership games aren't as well watched as Heineken Cup games, not sure if BBC or ITV would go in for them.

I think we can rest assured that the old boy network will make sure rugby union comes out of this better than the other sports.
