| i think that 2 major factors this year will affect the crowds:
1) the last 2 years have been derby games for all the teams involved
2) the Millenium Stadium is a great venue in the middle of a city centre, Murrayfield isnt.
so maybe those 2 things were what brought the fans to the magic weekend, now those have been taken away people arent as interested.

Conversely, Edinburgh is more of a touristy city with much more accommodation than Cardiff.
No one knows how many will be there. The RFL have estimated 75,000 over the weekend.

I have heard that 100,000 people could show up.
If not this year then another year, when Toulouse and London Olympic are in SL, and can bring their massive supporter bases with them.

From Wigan's site:;
Quote Wigan="Wigan"The Warriors have been inundated with bookings for the showpiece event, which this year is held in Edinburgh, and with this massive late surge the Warriors are on course to be the best supported club at the event for the third year running.
Three extra batches of tickets have all sold out during the course of the last week, with a fourth batch arriving today (Saturday).

| I think Rovers, Hull, Wigan, Wire, Leeds and Saints will take their usual healthy amount and Wakey support surprised a few last year.
As long as a good atmosphere is created i'm not bothered.
Sunday will be better attended though (even if it's just cos there is more games).

Wire didn't have a derby game last year, or technically the year before either.
AS far as i've heard we've shifted a 1k tickets, i think thats for both days, we for both cardiff dates there were a lot of day trippers who went down for just the days we were playing.
