A grand final or a northern rail cup final which Doncaster were in last year. As the decision regarding franchising *cough* sorry licenses are made mid 2011 season the results from 2008,2009 and 2010 will count towards eligibility. So Donny are eligible already, I think
I know they have had a succession of owners but have they been in Administration in the last few years? That would certainly count against them as it did for Widnes. Donny would be an asset to Super League, good large population good ground, great transport links, no other SL club in South Yorkshire. The thorny question is the Fanbase or lack of it. You could argue for lot's of clubs having SL Potential, ie; York, only pro-club in North Yorkshire, Good fan base thriving amature teams, tons of local interest and the game is widely played in schools, but NO decent stadium!

I thought it was 2008 2009 and 2010 grand finalists and winners but only the northern rail cup winners and not runners up that are eligible. Not 100% on this though
