| Grapple maybe not but the 1, maybe 1.5 secs that Hudds had to set defence was crucial to their result last night. In addition the speed of the line in defence created the basis of a great performance.
Hudds pushed the boundaries of the game and benefited, good on them, but I for one would not like to see it week in week out, we'd have far fewer quality games like last night was.
Even thought we lost that was great entertainment for the money.

Except we weren't penalised for them. Why is it that whenever a team has bad discipline, it's always because they're being victimised by the ref'"
And Huddersfield were not penalised for grapple tackles either. the thread is about grapple tackles not about our discipline. It was poor but most of it was technical penalties not foul play.
Our discipline was not good and all the penalties aginst us were deserved ( except for two which i thought were harsh). Castleford went through the whole second half with one penalty against even though Mc Goldrick clearly pushing hodgson over after the PTB which weas not penalised . Did Cas not commit one foul play or technical indescretion in 40 minutes or was there a bit of inconsistency from the ref

I disagree with that statement. I thought Hudds' execution was pretty good considering the penalty count seemed weighted against them (I don't know the actual numbers), Cas had enough chances to win 3 games and Hudds were down to 12 at a crucial point in the game. So personally I thought their execution when they got their chances was pretty top notch.

Yes, that's EXACTLY what he's saying:

| At the end of the day Matterson wont blame this, Because we dropped a ball over the line, ust because our player couldnt be bothered to use 2 hands. We let Hudds score from the kick off within 20seconds, And then gifted them another try by throwing a silly offload out in our own 20
Hudds were controlling the ruck, Legally or otherwise and this made it very very hard for us to get ahead in the game when i thought we were by far the better team, And then we fight our way back level, And then concede the softest try in RL right under the posts, Can only have ourselves to blame, Same as against quins - We should be top of the league, Teams like Leeds and Saints win games in this situation, Hence why they are champions

has any player been cited for grapple THE NRL match review committee has acted swiftly in the crackdown on wrestling, issuing five charges under the newly created dangerous conduct category from weekend games.
Melbourne's Jeff Lima, Parramatta pair Weller Hauraki and Nathan Hindmarsh and Penrith duo Trent Waterhouse and Michael Jennings were the first players slapped with the charge in 2009.
But of the five players only Hauraki faces any time on the sidelines as the other four received grade one charges and can escape with just 75 carryover points with an early guilty plea.
Hauraki however was slapped with a grade two offence for unnecessary head or neck contact in the 44th minute of their loss to the Warriors and will receive 187 points, a one week ban, with an early guilty plea.
Jennings was also ruled to have made unnecessary contact with the head or neck.
Lima, Hindmarsh and Waterhouse were charged for 'chicken wing' style tackles by applying unnecessary pressure to the arm or shoulder.
