Quote: JB Down Under "then why do fans b1tch and moan so much about it?
I oersonally hate the ground, too big, too far away form the pitch, tands not elevated enough, expensive and when it rains the bottom two tiers get soaked. Only thing it has going for it is capacity, good chance those games would have drawn equally large gates if the clubs home grounds had a big enough capacity.
ps there has been plenty of sub 10,000 crowds in there as well. I still don't understand how a sold out Leichardt with 17,000 in can make less money. The local council must be charging teh Tigers an arm and a leg to play there!'"
when theres 30,000 there the atmos is quite good. people whinge because for crowds of 10,000 or so it gets lost in a stadium that big.
with leichhardt they have to hire a big screen for the VR, thats something ike 10,000 - 20,000 and security and stuff.
the nrl has encouraged clubs to take the less attractive games away from homebush but keep the big games there.
homenush allows the better clubs to market themselves and grow their crowds so lets judge it 10 years down the track
i think youll see the dogs, souths and tigers all average 25,000 - 30,000
