| Quote wrencat1873="wrencat1873"He's much like many of the other "big units" that play centre / wing.
Sau at Salford can be a beast and Carney on the wing etc.
If you give them plenty of traffic and turn them round regularly, they lose much of their potency.
Having said that, if the hit a decent ball 15 metres out, they will score all day long.
Leeds pack were well beaten and Watkins had an absolute mare, which Trinity exploited to maximum effect.
A job well done and Headingley does tend to be a tricky place to go and come away with the points.
It's way too early in the season to get carried away, more a case of getting some points on the board.
Leeds have some decent players (including Watkins, who will come good - he's a class player). They look to have bigger issues in their pack and in the halves and although they needed quota spots, why have they allowed Garbutt to go to KR, a poor decision.'"
This is a very good write up. Bang on about the overweight centre. Any coach worth his salt wouldn’t touch such a liability. No wonder no NRL team would touch him.
The only thing I take exception to is your description of Watkins. He won’t come good

| I’ve been thinking it’s one of the best Trinity performances I’ve seen in a while however I’ve now thought that although we played well, it’s one of the worst Leeds teams that I’ve ever seen.

Hard to tell as defensively we simply haven't performed as a team. Yet. However there have been flashes of attacking where we've looked red hot. I have no idea whether Furner can bring it all together but I have the feeling it will indeed be one of the worst Leeds teams - or maybe one of the best.
What I will add is that Wakey were the best drilled side we've come up against this year. Comfortably so in fact.

| Well that was a turn-up - we outplayed Leeds in just about every aspect of the game, which I didn't expect; Leeds were pretty woeful, but I like to think that's at least partly because we were just too good - it was almost a complete performance, apart from Johnstone's slip-up, and the 2 tries leaked in the dying minutes when the game was already over.
The redeveloped Headingley is pretty, but the atmosphere is awful now - it's drained the life out of the place; and why the bloody hell does the big screen have it's back to the visiting supporters? Is that a temporary position until the works are completed?

Which slip up? If you mean the kick off I'm not sure what else he could do, it was just a freakish perfect kick off.

The one which he himself admitted was a brainfart?
It looked to me like it would have bounced out if he'd left it - but it was a very well placed kick.
Either way - a minor criticism of the best finisher in SL.

On the big screen, £27 isn't enough to entitle you to a view, you need to be in hospitality for that.
Seriously though, it's the same at a number of grounds and we could all do with a screen at both ends but, this is RL and therefore it's unlikely that anything will change.
Its in an absolutely awful position at Headingley though and it must be a struggle for the new south stand and north stand (when it's finished), maybe there is a plan to move it ?? or, perhaps they no longer want to see the replays

Bit harsh to judge the atmosphere on a game where we were getting spanked and pretty much a full side of the ground empty due to building works.
Having said that the old South Stand is pretty much impossible to recreate with modern regulations and the fact they wanted seating in it, I think theyve done a great job in modernising an old stadium.
WIth regards to the screen its been in that position for a fair few years, I can’t see it moving as its not a temporary screen like many grounds its used for every game whether its on Sky or not, without having 2 screens its always going to be a poor view for some spectators
