Hardly celebrating as though they had won the World Cup, just managed a draw with a ragtag of a squad consisting of a few Championship players, and fringe NRLers against the No1 ranked team in the world.
Somthing that one of the great superpowers of RL, England, couldn't quite manage.

NZ are moaning, supposed fans are moaning. Some of the key comments I've noted are:

There gonna lose next year. No players from a Scottish team. Some of them might even play in the NRL. Some of them even play in this country in SL and the Chumpionship. Some of them have been ignored by England (but should be playing/not playing) for England but did manage to better England by a point. Workington is a long way from home (NZ and U.K). It rained. It was windy. It was less than 90 degrees. The weather was too weathery. The grass was err grass. It was a rugby field and not a bowling green. The ground was built before the players were born. We need something wider to win on. Workington isn't in Scotland. Workington isn't on my bus route. They cheated and had more fans than turned up in Hull. A subscription channel was prepared to show it live. The Beeb only showed highlights. Shouldn't be allowed to compete as other countries exist. Shouldn't play when other sports play or any other game is on. The shirts were too blue. The Kiwis only played the majority of their normal side therefore having a squad is rubbish. You have to walk from the station to the ground. And please don't enjoy the moment as living in the present is not allowed.

As opposed to some saints fan who probably lives in Warrington using the guise of an American basketball player to make snide comments always as a pathetic convention just as bad as jean capdouze but without the likeability factor?

Because they are not fantasists which is polite for liars - how that team could be legally called Scotland is beyond me.

Yes you can question or mock the 'Scottish-ness' of the Scotland team but it's what they need to get things going. If they can be competitive and get results like they did on Friday then if it gets 8/10/12 years old up in Scotland wanting to play the game and maybe representing their country in 10 years or so time and we are looking at a 'genuine' Scottish team then the ends justify the means.

It's what should've been 30/40 years ago so that we could've already had it and a fuller more competitive International calendar but people thought the way it use to be was perfect with just Great Britain and Australia playing club teams on tour.
