In fairness it is now only a minority of Wigoon fans that still trot out the old 'competition cap' argument. Most have moved on and recognise the importance of the cap and competitiveness for the competition.

There have been many arguments on here about the pros and cons of the franchise system and the salary cap but if two of the goals were to increase the number of young players getting a chance and evening up the league and making it more competitive then I have to say it seems to be working
