No there would not be! as you will have the farce of teams who know they wont win the league playing weaker teams. It has been unfair in the past when team a beats you with its full squad then later in the season turns out a reseve or weak side against your close rival at the top of the league & gets walloped thus potentialy costing you the top spot. If some people prefer the old system fair enough you dont have to watch It just leaves it to the people who want it ie the clubs the sponsors & most important the TV & advertisers. |

Why do you think sponsors may like TV?
Why does TV SELL advertising space and sponsorship slots?
Because 1100 will turn up at cougar park or 300,000 plus will watch the TV.

Great way to cut down fixtures to a better amount and it would create much more interest in the comp. Especially if you'd only met the Eastern clubs once before playoff time
2 8 team conferences- 7 H&A against your own 8 alternating Fixtures with the other plus magic weekend and playoffs.
Money would be tight but its a bet for the future |

One good way of taking a couple of games out of the season would be to cancel the Tragic event and cut the play offs from four weeks to three.
The Tragic shambles is played in a stadium 3/4 empty and the crowds for the opening week of the play offs were so poor they could hardly be called crowds.
With the extra two games another team could enter SL or have an Intl that weekend v France.

I'd have the Magic event kick off the SL season.
I'd cut the playoffs back to 3 weeks and 6 teams, I think thats all SL can cop with with the quality of teams ATM.
The number of games isn't a problems for you lot right now, especially when you balance it against the need to make money.
You play more games but they are lower quality and lower intensity, so they don't make that much of an impact on your players.
