anyone know of any cheap ones?

Think you might be lucky at this late date to be honest. Loads of B and Bs in Edinburgh though. Not sure where to look though. The internet maybe?

Dalhousie Castle about 7 miles out from city centre, this is a beautiful castle with a falconry, they also have a lodge within the grounds, ranges from about £100 - £400 a night (£100 for the lodge) there is also a dungeon resteraunt and spa.

The Old Waverley Hotel on Princes St, i stayed here about three weeks ago and it was £69 for 2 of us including buffet breakfast.

I booked through late rooms as you tend to get some good deals on there

You have a different idea of cheap than I do!!!

Last year we stayed at the Mount Royal on Princes St- it was poor. Seriously in need of renovation/decoration. For what you got -expensive as well

This year we have an apartment (sleeps 6) for £360 for 3 nights 5mins walk from Princes St.

We only booked it 2/52 ago - plenty of apartments still available

I havent stayed at the hotel, i did some work up there for a few days, i did try getting the boss to put us up in the castle but he was having non of it. If anyone is making a long weekend of it with a partner though it is a beautiful building.

yeah it is a tad late but I'm a poor student and my loan doesn't come in until the 19th so I have to wait... and find someone at uni who will come up with us I only know Wigan supporters at uni so should be fun aha

oh and St Helens supporters

have a look at the premier inns or travel lodges we got a room for £29 afew weeks back, just outside edinburgh..

Some friends said that the Valantine on Gilmore place was decent at about £20 ppn

You could see if there are any apartments available, they can work out cheaper but I doubt it at this late stage and given the time of year

I stayed at some on the Royal Mile, they were excellent and cheap, worked out at about £35 each for a 2 bed
