Quote Ferdy="Ferdy"It's a cracking effort to raise that amount in 5 days left. Realistically are you confident of making the total? At that rate you should do it but the second 200k might be harder to make with I would imagine alot of pledges made in the first week. The auction looks good that should raise some brass.
Wish I had the money spare tho buy all the shirts and rings and give them back to their owners which would be a nice touch. If I win the lottery in time I may do that.
I am a Leeds fan looking forward to the game and will be paying on the gate. Is the gate money for the Leeds game linked into the total you require?
Well done so far and good luck. I know there have been fans from all clubs gloating but I ain't one of them and hope you get the money raised'"
I think we'll make the first total...its the next 500k that will need outside investment IMHO. I also hope that whoever buys the shirts and rings at the auction that have been so kindly donated either give them back or loan them to the club to display so the players can still go see them.
As far as I know the gate money for the Leeds game does not count towards the pledge, which is partly why the club launched the "virtual ticket", which does;

What [iwill [/ihelp by turning up in numbers is creating an amazing atmosphere for the potential investors....who I would hope will be being wined and dined in hospitality that night. Any investor who is waivering might be convinced by witnessing a classic derby and a full house like the 24,000 game in '99 (same result as well obviously

)
It should be a special occation whatever happens...one of them "I was there nights" I suspect.
Cheers for the thoughts
