| I know this should go in the curry guide but i feel this is an exception. I have been eating curries for the best part of 35 years and never have i had a curry as good and hot as this. The lamb lahori at the medina in brighouse is like curries used to be. If you can tackle it i take my hat off to you!

| Most curry shops will do a more homestyle hotter curry if you ask for apna style but you have to be a bit careful as some chefs see it as a bit of a challenge.

| Last night went to Omar's but decided to leave when it was apparent that the menu in there had changed and the waiter had real trouble with English and couldn't answer our questions. We did a runner before ordering and ended up in the Rawal - just around the corner from the Kashmir on Edmund St.
I'd not been in the Rawal for about 12 years and there was only another party of 4 in there. However I'll definitely go back. Popadoms were made fresh, pickle tray was ok. Didn't bother with a starter. I had chicken masala which was pretty good, I ordered it medium strength but next time will ask for hot as although it was tasty it could've been hotter. The missus had a karahi daal which was really good. They did it for her with less oil as requested too which was good cos sometimes this gets ignored. The chappatis were nice and fresh and light too. For pops, pickles, 2 curries and 6 chappatis £14.10. Bargain.

| Suitably impressed with my first visit to the Sweet Centre with Tigertot and Bullseye last night. My mixed veg Karahi was very good and just about spicy enough so as to feel it but not for it to detract from the meal. Starter of veg Samosa was also tasty. All washed down with a couple of pints in the Fighting Cock around the corner.
I wouldn't expect a review from Bullseye anytime soon - he's probably still trying to find his way out of Bradford's myriad one-way system

| Enjoyed my seekh kebab followed by fish karahi. I asked for it not to be too spicy as they do seem to like their chillis. It was still pretty hot tho.
Woke up at 3am thanks to extreme case of stomach bloat. It appeared there'd been a gas leak in the bedroom. Had to sprint to the bog on the way to work. Things are now calm.

| Run of the mill samosas, very crisp & seemed fresh. Had the Karela Karahi - bitter gourd with lentils - for the first time. Absolutely spot on.
Had completed visits 1 & 2 by 0600. Thought it not a good idea to attempt the journey to work by bike. Visit 3 by 0900, notoriously the worst. Seem to have settled down now. Though I've just had a curry for dinner (lunch to you Penguin). Big up for the FC, beer on top form as ever.

| I've had 2 visits but a third has (mercifully) not materialised, and they luckily occured well either side of my current train/bus commute.

| I had a Jaldi Jaldi on Monday lunchtime (the one in Leeds under the railway bridge) . Dross - made my guts turn rather badly.
Starter was the lamb shishk kebab - rather spicy and best part of the meal.
Chicken Tikka Massala - was rubbish - no kick to it at all.
Garilc and corriander naan - I've seen more garlic and corriander watching playbus.

| Jaldi Jaldi's the Mumtaz fast food chain isn't it? I've walked past it in Leeds on a daily basis and wondered what it was like. Thanks for the tip!

| There's one at the Uni, I think about £3.50 for one of those small paper cartons, students bloody queue for it. It just looks lke mass produced curries that are re-heated until sold.

I just don't trust any business occupying the ground floor of a railway bridge tunnel like that. An arch you can just about get away with....

| Takeaway delivered from the Kamran in Halifax last night (via Just Eat).
Shami kebabs ok but no better than that.
Popadoms quality. Complimentary dips and salad too.
Garlic Naan, pretty good. Not overboard with the garlic but enough to taste it.
Keema Madras curry tasted ok for a takeaway but nowhere near a restaurant quality. Nowhere near hot enough for a Madras and a bit too much oil but it wasn't bad.
Aside from that it was almost cold when it arrived, but I think that's more with me being on the cusp of the delivery area so it takes longer to get here!
On the large downside, I have now had 4 visits today and I'm not convinced it's over yet.

| Kamran's is more somewhere to go before a night out I would say! It's decent without being owt special.
Heard Sultan Mahal is one of the better ones in Fax centre but I've not tried it myself just recommended by a friend, I've got a truly awesome curry house 86 paces from my front door.
