| Quote Mirfieldbull="Mirfieldbull"Agree the RFL supported us with a loan BUT they got that back whentheybought the lease. I have no complaints about the support we did receive, my issue now is that the Message from the RFL is we want the Bulls to survive but are not consistent with their actions.'"
A loan which was repaid by them taking on a lease which will become a massive millstone if there is no SL club to play in the stadium.
Personally I think the RFL have acted stupidly getting involved at all, opening themselves up to all sorts of accusations and allegations from other RL clubs about their actions and motives. That there are Bradford fans who are doing so is quite bizarre, they're probably now wishing that instead of buying the lease to try to cover up their secret loan they'd just got a winding up order issued instead.

Because they're helping you survive as long as possible to find a suitable buyer!

| No, they are helping to keep us going to the end of the season as its in their (and Superleagues) best interests to do so. I would expect our treatment to change markedly after that.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing! It has proved to be a really stupid decision, so having made 1 stupid one they shouldn't make another by 'allegedly' making demands no one will accept to sell the club.

Again where's the evidence for this - reducing further cash inflows and not giving a buyer any guarantee on what league (hence revenue) the buyer would have to base their budget on wouldn't be attractive to most businessmen

Unless they are working with another party already to sell it cheap and give us a bigger advantage

The RFL can't give a guarantee on what league you'll be in as they didn't when Andy Glover took over at Wakefield. Think it would be called "double standards" if they did.

| Quote paulwalker71="paulwalker71"Well that seems to confirm that the RL are advancing enough money to pay the August wages.
Wages are paid on the 14th of the month I believe, so presumably that means we can pay the players for the period August 14th to September 14th, which actually [iwould[/i take us right to end of the season if we don't qualify for the Play Offs.
Not sure how we're meant to manage with no coaching or backroom staff though?'"
Usually if salaries are paid mid month they're partly paid in arrears, partly paid in advance. So salaries paid on 14th Aug would cover the period from 1st Aug to 31st Aug. Obviously there maybe different arrangements at the Bulls.
It still remains to be seen if the Bulls would have enough coaching and backroom staff to put on games. You can understand people working unpaid if they expect a new owner to take over imminently. But if there's no immediate prospect of a takeover and they're just playing out the season, it would be perfectly reasonable for them to walk away.

The RFL appear to be paying the August wages for your players from what has come out at the meeting tonight. If that's not the RFL helping you out I don't know what is.

| Would be somewhat less frustrating if we knew the overview of why bids have been turned down, appreciating that the detail would be confidential. As someone wrote yesterday this uncertainty and effect on supporters is reflected by a lack of engagement on what should matter, namely the sport on the pitch, witnessed by the lack of discussion on this board about the Warrington match yesterday.
