| Oh dear, more supporters saying that they've made fake pledges.
One Wakefield supporter saying he's done over a 100 and one saying he made 8,000
They don't seem to be taking this well do they?

| They'll get caught out. I highly doubt these mindless idiots had the sense to use an IP blocker to 'cover their tracks'. Each and every registered pledge can be tracked back to the original pledgee through their registered IP address.

I also wanted to know if the pledges were legal binding as you will also see quite a few people asked this question without reply, i see you were not so quick to answer that??'"
I know you didn't ask me that question, but what difference does it make? Do you seriously think the Bulls are going to bother taking legal action against someone for sixty quid if they refused to pay it?
No, the whole thing was done on the basis of a reasonable degree of trust, and the seemingly perfectly reasonable belief that most if not all people who bothered to pledge would be only too delighted to pay the hugely reduced ticket price that their pledge had contributed to achieving.
OTOH it would be funny in the extreme if indeed some numpty with no intention had pledged ten times, and was forced by a court judgment to stump up, I'd be in favour of doing that just for the laugh.

| Quote orange trance guru="orange trance guru"On top the pledges real or fake how many day trippers excluding away fans are you expecting on average next season?
Is it realistic to expect 17k for the Rhinos game and an average around 14.5k.
Also what do u expect to happen in 2012 when season ticket prices triple?'"
I'm reliably informed that season tickets won't go back to pre-pledge prices next year. That's not to say they won't be more, but they should nowhere near triple.

| I wouldn't worry too much. I am sure that all these people posting that they made 20 false pledges are simply the same 40,000 that turn up everytime we play HKR.

| Quote steamingbull02="steamingbull02"I may have a pledge problem, i pleged for a family ticket for £150, now my mate, who hasn't pleged, is buying two season tickets at £99 for myself and him, in the main stand (as long as keep him in beers next season) my question is am i still obliged to buy the tickets i pledged on even though theoretically we will be spending more money?'"
Hmmmm, you could be caught between a rock and a hard place my friend. I think it basically comes down to morality and Pounds Sterling.
Given that BBH have pulled off a brilliant sleight of hand, I think you should respond in kind, and kick the morality issue into touch.
Concentrate on the money. You are going to be watching the same shoite that's been on the pitch these last two seasons, and you have to budget for his increased alcohol consumption that another 12 on the bounce loosing streak will bring!
I suspect your £150 family ticket will look like a bit of a bargain come next October

| It's pretty funny that people on the Wakefield board would think that their soon-to-be-deceased club is a template for how to do things
Putting that to one side, its inconceivable that Andrew Bennett and Ryan Duckett didn't sit down with a spreadsheet program and work through a whole series of 'what if' scenarios before this scheme was ever seriously entertained. The whole 10,000 x £60 is a simple and easy to remember marketing tool, but common sense tells us that it is much more complicated than that. Factoring in family tickets, kids tickets, concessions - not to mention vastly different models for corporate bookings, food, drinks, hospitality etc, is all meaning that the amount of income will actually far outstrip the 'ball park' £600K figure.
I think what we're seeing from people on the other boards is a badly concealed jealousy that the Bulls have pulled off an audacious marketing coup that has left their clubs trailing in the dust.

| This is a great job by the Bulls, great marketing effort and corresponding response from the fans. We have already bought our ticket and grabbed the spare seat alongside us for our new ticket holder.
I don't see why this fake pledging is such a big deal. We have hit the target and more people are buying tickets.
All we could do with from the club (when they have some time!) is reassurance that the pledging process worked, they weeded out a couple of hundred fake pledges etc.
That would finish all this nonsense, confirm that the Bulls pledge counters are efficient and good at their jobs and reassure people.
