Well, people take the for two reasons.

1. It's an internet message board and that's 50% of the reason for these types of boards to exist.
2. You've come on with some cock and bull story given to you by a friend of a friend.

Also, your low post count scores against you in this instance. Generally, people will lower points who start their career with some world shattering inside scoop, tend on the whole to be long time trolls who've come up with a new screen name to try and avoid their comments being instantly derided due to their usual trollish content.


But lets just break down this idea of Herbert being homesick. As far as I recall, didn't he come over with his girlfriend? So, unlike Mr Orford who came over on his tod and apparently had no social life and barely interacted with the squad outside of training and game day, Mr Herbert does have someone at home.
Also, Orford was contacted for 3 years. Herbert is here for one. I'm sure IF Herbert was home sick he could stick out the next 5 months and go home after that.

If herbert is homesick.... do you think he would blurt it out over the net, the papers, to his GAFFER !!

What do you expect him to say when quizzed,

just cos he is homesick, dont mean hes going anywhere.... its a 12 month contract that i expect him to fullfill, but id be quite shocked it he wasnt homsick living in a hole like west yorkshire

For what its worth, I often spend many months away from home , and if im honest i Always get homesick , However this has never stopped me from " Cracking" on and getting on with the job , , The lad would not be human if he wasnt !
Just one of those things ! Doesnt mean he doesnt want to stay , and make a success of his bulls career which i suspect he will , hope hes playing this week !

If you actually read what the OP posted, it went way beyond him allegedly just telling a mate he was homesick. That is what the issue on this thread has been about. So I don't think we really need to wake up and smell anything. Do you?

I was told 50/50 mate on Monday so I guess he'll be in the 19 man squad.

I got exactly the same response when i said george burgess was going to souths, because i was a new-be/little post history i was talking utter rubbish (well clearly i wasn't, but you get my drift .)

After reading this thread this morning (and before Connor and Duffy were tweeting about it), like Adey, I'd been emailing/texting a few of my sources, 2 came back with it's a load of tosh and the third didn't respond yet.

Mick Potter on Radio Leeds said he came through training today and was a possibility for Sunday!
