| Quote mat="mat"That bits interesting as it was confirmed in saturdays T&A that Khan/Sutcliffe had submitted a bid to the administrator.
[urlhttp://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/sport/sportbulls/9843153.Extra_time_plea_in_fight_to_save_Bradford_Bulls/[/url
Does that mean administrator is treating ABC as preferred bidders and waiting to see whether their bids accepted before forwarding K/S bid or that hes just dismissing it out of hand?.'"
It could be that the K/S bid is worse, or no better, than the ABC bid.

| CC2 isn't going to attract any serious bidders for a newco. Even with a coop run by the fans (as if!) I doubt we could afford to play at Odsal - overheads are too high.
It's SL or bust I reckon. I doubt there's any backer prepared to put money into a CC2 outfit.

| Quote Mirfieldbull="Mirfieldbull"Agree that a liquidation mid season is messy and look bad for the sport. A truly unconditional bid accepted means CC2 next year at best doesn't it? Better dust off the route planner to some of the places not been to for a long time. Can anyone believe that less than 10 years ago we won everything!! It seems a lot longer today'"

| Probably agree - so the RFL is left with stadium and no income! That's the bit that frustrates me most - as a sport are we strong enough to see that money blown away. Other club's fans may not like it, but the RFL working to keep Bulls in Super League keeps the RFL in the strongest position! Sell the lease back for a fair price and let any buyer take his chance in the next round of licensing is the least worst option for the game isn't it?

I used to enjoy that trip - nice lunch and beer on the way and the crack with the fans was great!

The Rfl should sell the lease back for what they paid for it, however i think they may have a different agenda as what you say above is the sensible option but they (the RFL) don't seem too keen on us staying in SL beyond this season.

| If the RFL revoke our SL license surely they won't make anything out of owning the lease to Odsal. No business plan will be viable for the Bulls at Odsal if they aren't in SL and no money will be recouped by RFL if Bulls aren't at Odsal.
All a bit of a strange going on at the minute, the RFL need to realise the sport isn't as big as Sky and they make out in the UK, the Super League needs as many fans as possible and Bulls have a large fan base, to throw us out isolates all them fans.

Go on then, were's the punch line?
They've bent over backwards to help you, they've bought your iconic groundthey (secretly/slyly) gave you £700,000,they forwarded you SKY money and they're paying the staff wages to ensure you survive this season,i'd suggest you open your eyes and appreciate that the RFL are doing their level best to keep you afloat and in SL way beyond this year!
We needed £150,000 to get us out of the mire, and what help did we get, funk all!!But after saying that we've come out much better in the long run.
I'm not blagging the Bulls or the majority of you specci's and I sincerely hope the Bulls come out of this bigger, stronger and still in SL.But you really have to do away with the self pity.
Fire away!

| RFL know that if they say no to either or both questions all interest will evaporate and the adminstrator will have to liquidate. Keeping everything in the air means they get to the end of the season and then decide what they like - if we fold then it doesn't matter to them as much. Now its a catastrophe, sorting the league out, PR all of it.
Maybe the RFL are being greedy and gambling on someone taking us on with the existing deal on the rent. They've paid upfront for the lease but sooner or later market rate for rent will pay that off and turn into pure profit. How much do we reckon "market rate" is for renting Odsal? Are we paying them market rate while they inherited our peppercorn deal with the council? Difference will eventually be the profit margin for the RFL.
Maybe owning the lease is worth more to the RFL regardless of whether we are still the tenants. Coral Stand as RFL HQ? Ground used for events they currently have to use other peoples stadia for (and share profits with)? Gamble on someone else renting it to play in?

| Ferocious Aardvark and others are right - if the RFL believe they will receive an "unconditional" offer (especially in today's economic climate) they are living in a different world to the rest of us. I seem to remember the current Chief Executive having some experience of financial problems at Halifax not too long ago so you might think that he would have some understanding if not sympathy.
Some RL fans have always wanted to retreat to the M62 corridor, proud of our northern heritage. Well a northern sport without SL presence in Bradford, Liverpool, Manchester (Salford is a separate city) not to mention Newcastle and the North East does not exactly cover all the north . It would be terrible publicity for the sport.
I quite liked Sadler's comments in the RL Express today-- basically it's gone on too long and the RFL should buy the club and resell to a bidder of their choice. And it's interesting that the ABC group apparently circulated their proposals to ALL SL clubs. Shame that the long suffering staff ,players and fans (the lifeblood of any club ) were not offered the same courtesy. I don't whether to sign off in sorrow (but don't want to accused of self pity) or in anger-- perhaps both in equal measure.
