| That legally binding agreement must have been drawn up in minutes! Can't be very watertight, although Caisley should be an expert on those.

That's the key bit.
Maybe you don't understand how legal stuff works. It's like a house, you can agree to buy it at £x now, but nothing is legally binding till contracts are signed off. And that might take weeks. The one I'm interested in is the one the Bulls and the Souths will eventually sign.
But the point is, he wasn't, and isn't, going anywhere without a large sum of spondoolicks coming to the Bulls - whatever he signs.

seeing as weve announced his departure cant see us being bothered by them announcing his arrival.

| Gutted, but i really hope he cracks it down under. A special player who will be in probably the most dominating pack in world rugby next season, in either code. We really do need a big marque signing now half the team as left.

dont think we'll go for a marquee player tbh, 2 or 3 genuine quality players would make a much bigger difference to the team than one marquee player.

Leaving on good terms rather than bad (by being forced to stay like some seemed to advocate) maybe he'll come back to us when he's done down under. Once he made his mind up to go this was the best we could hope for, that and hopefully the undisclosed fee is big enough to make a positive impact on the club.
Sorry he's going, and I hope it works out for him, but the club is bigger than any one player and now comes the important bit, rebuilding for next season and beyond.

| The Bulls do have the option to re-sign Burgess, who has scored 17 tries in 79 appearances for the club, should he decide to resume his career in England and they match any other offer.
That bit stuck out to me the most.

What a load of pish.
Although its only one player, our squad didnt look in the best shape before this announcement and it certainly looks worse now.
One gets the feeling this has been agreed for months

| Well I guess the signs have been there for a while, dissapointed yes but not without hope. We must have some wedge of salary cap available now. Let's use the money we recieved and the cap we have to increase out strength in depth.
The next few weeks/months are going to be pivotal, let's see what the club can pull out of the hat.

But it will obviously depend on what the bulls can afford within the cap, burgess by that time maybe the best player in the world, you can hardley offer him a token 100 grand, if say wire or Leeds or Cumbria all stars offer him the most money Bradford will have to match it to trigger the clause I would think. Or if burgess goes to another club and then back go England the clause would be defunct

| The way in which we complete our squad for next season will be the biggest direction yet as to how ambitious our club really is.
We now must have room in our CAP for 3-4 High Quality players, proven SL/NRL level at the right age. Add to this promotion of 2/3 from the academy and our squad could look a hell of alot stronger.
Surely nows the time to throw some money around for the right player(s).
