Well Lowes has a point, the Leigh and Fax games are both dead rubbers from Bradford's perspective. Regardless of the results in either game we can't drop lower than 2nd and while it's mathematically possible that we could still finish top, it would require us to win both remaining games by huge margins and for Leigh to not only lose to us but lose to the other two teams they've still to play and as those teams are Dewsbury and Doncaster it seems unlikely they'll drop points against either. So Leigh will be wanting the win on Sunday as they'll officially clinch 1st place, but that's pretty nailed on even if we win.



Sunday's Sheffield vs Featherstone match will have a bearing on 4th place as a loss for Sheffield means Fax need to beat us in the last game to stand a chance of qualifying for the middle 8's. However, if both Sheffield and Fax win on Sunday then it really makes our game against Fax pointless as our positions will be fixed regardless of the final result of the match.



So, to return to the original point - both games dead rubbers for Bradford

He's right, both games are dead rubber.



They're also dead rubber for Leigh who are sending a full strength team seemingly intent on proving a point.



What's the difference?

He seems to spending a lot of time on every board.

I'm not saying that the team won't be up for it, far from it but Jimmy's attitude is starting to grate now. I liked it as a player but this Jimmy against the world thing is wearing thin.

Will probably be the same team for the last two games. I wouldn't say we are proving a point,but keeping momentum is important.

Leigh fans are comfortable with the whole squad.



Worst case scenario is they use Reynoulds & Beswick in the half,bring foster in to hooker with Higham and put Pownall in at fullback and the team would still be a match for anyone in the league

Jimmy was like this in his spell at Wire. He would argue and have confrontations with supporters as he walked off. This was my main concern when he was appointed. As a player he was fantastic. As a coach, I am not sure. At this moment in time I think he will be replaced when his contract ends unless we go up and improve massively. I could actually see him being replaced even if we go up. It would be a shame but his temperament is suspect.

If you put that team out against a full strength Bulls team then I'd be pretty confident of a Bulls win.

Thinking back over the season have we played a full strength team yet. Maybe that is to come.

Even with Sundays squad (pretty much worst case as per your description above),I still think we've got a good chance of beating Leigh.



All I'm saying is looking at the Leigh squad and their current form,then I think Leigh are entering this game as favourites but I'm certainly not writing off the Bulls chances. We've still got enough quality in the team to give Leigh a game. Let just see what the Bulls come up with on Sunday. It appears that Leigh fans think it's a foregone conclusion so the Bulls might surprise you.

I think you are wrong there ,I for one don't see it as a forgone conclusion , but as a very hard game ,BOTH teams will want to win , just look at the Squad Leigh have announced,I'm looking forward to a close hard game whatever the teams line up is.

From Jimmys comments in Telegraph and Argus it seems clear that it's no big deal and that preparation is focused on the middle eights.
