| The RFL clearly want to see us struggle on to the end of the season and take stock then.
Trouble is that by then we may lose those interested in investing.
The bidders aren't going to bid without some conditions as they need to know whether we'll be in SL or not and whether it's worth investing in the ground (whether that's to improve or change the Coral Stand). Nobody is going to bid without knowing what they're getting into.
Of course the administrator could decide to put the whole shooting match into liquidation. That would seriously put out the RFL, players, staff, fans and creditors. However it would clear the path for a new club if there was sufficient interest to start one, that's a big IF too as investors have been hard enough to find for a SL club let alone one further down the leagues. I'd be amazed if any newco got straight into SL.
I get the feeling the administrator is trying to buy time but I'm not sure why given that the RFL won't negotiate with bidders. Unless there's some doublespeak going on here and negotiations are taking place.

RFL director of licensing and standards Blake Solly says the governing body are still considering Guilfoyle's request for them to pay the players' wages for August, and have promised an answer by Tuesday afternoon.
Solly added the RFL's board of directors were also set to discuss the latest, modified offer put to Guilfoyle from a local group of businessmen, known as the ABC consortium, on Monday afternoon. However, they are likely to reject it.
"We're waiting for the board's decision but I don't think it will be accepted," he said.
"We've told them a number of times any offer cannot be conditional but we're still getting conditional offers. I don't think they're going to get a lot of change out of the board."
Solly says the RFL have still not seen a written offer from a second Bradford consortium fronted by local MP Gerry Sutcliffe, a former Sports Minister.

The RFL expect miracles here - who will pay £2-3m for something when a group of outsiders control your revenue. If this was a business with external customers buying things and the profit on sales would fund the business, at least you can make decisions on how you get your customers to buy more! On this, we could have the best plan to grow our fan base, revenues etc. over the next couple of years but one stakeholder group can say "that's it - times up" in less than 2 months and you have thrown the £2-3m away! If the RFL are really serious about an unconditional bid - we've gone!

| I think the ABC consortium died a death as soon as their first offer was rejected and Akbhar's withdrew their interest. We still don't know the full details of their offer, for all we know they could have been taking the p*ss, offering a pittance for the lease and giving no guarantees about the developments at Odsal.
Perhaps the Sutcliffe consortium might be a little more transparent with regards to their bid. A meeting with the fans is already more than we got from ABC.

| Is it official Akhbar's have withdrawn? Just heard rumours so far.
If there is no realistic bid then surely liquidation is the only option, is there any point in going on? Or is it being done to finish the season thus keeping the RFL sweet in order for a newco to start next season at Odsal with a better deal. (in what league I have no idea).

I agree, but one thing putting off investors / Donors is the fact that you havn't got a clue where the money is going.
Say i donated £5k, who would get it ? I think this administrator would swallow that up in a breath.
A new club being run by people who have the best interests of the club and supporters at heart would be far far more attractive a proposition for any investor / donor to back.
And yes i would donate to that.

Not blaming the RFL! We care about our club and want to see it survive and want the RFL to look to accomodate that. You can't expect this audience to be dispassionate viewers of the train crash
Ask why is the RFL clearly supporting us to finish the season (advancing Sky monies etc.) but seemingly NOT supporting us to remain a Super League club for the present license. What agenda do they have?

| The don't want to see us be liquidated as they'd have to sort out the league standings taking out all our records of out games. It'd also be awful publicity for the game. Better to sort it out in the off season in their view I expect.
I suspect they may look kindly on those that play ball vis a vis future negotiations for any newco in 2013.
That assumes of course that there is a newco.
If that's the case it sees us limp on til the end of the season without knowing what's going on.

| We can't finish the season without staff. We will have o coaching staff past this monthas Potter & Co. quite rightly want to work in a job that feeds their families. They have been scandalously taken advantage of already, without a single word of thanks that I've seen anyway from the administrators.
The RFL needs to stop playing games too, they are now talking utter bollox, if anyone thinks they are not then I challenge you to post me a pretend offer for ANYTHING, at all, which isn't "conditional". The simple fact is the buyers want to know whether the RFL will do a deal on the lease, and they want to know the crack with the rest of the SL licence. These aren't "conditions", they are fscking "questions". All the RFL needs to do is answer them, yes or no.

| Agree that a liquidation mid season is messy and look bad for the sport. A truly unconditional bid accepted means CC2 next year at best doesn't it? Better dust off the route planner to some of the places not been to for a long time. Can anyone believe that less than 10 years ago we won everything!! It seems a lot longer today

Hear, hear. Do you think the RFL bought the lease for Odsal without conditions!
