It's forty miles to Halifax from our house. We will be going to watch Donny beat Wakefield on that day. We have had Season tickets for years, but now we longer live in Bradford, we alternate between the two, depending on who is at home.

Oh, I'm sure they were. I don't think it was a "total flop" in any way, - it clearly wasn't - but the reason for the decent all-SL attendances is all down to the success of the RL's "free ticket" policy. And well done them for a good idea to do something to boost what were some really poor attendances.

But turning up to a home game when you don't have to pay is one thing, and attending an away game (especially one that's live on TV) is something else. Anyway, enough of this, whatever happens the game will be played in front of a decent enough crowd, and with a good atmosphere, and I genuinely wish Halifax every success with all of it except the result.

Won't be quite the same as the smell of wintergreen wafting across a frozen Thrum Hall pitch on Boxing Day in driving snow and sub-zero wind, but still a pretty good day should be had by all.

It's fans like these tools that make me wonder if me attending the Shay when they were desperate for a crowd to avoid going out of business, was actually worth it or not.

Good job I know a few Fax fans who are nice folk, otherwise I might get a very tainted view of the supporters.

Like one poster has indicated, it's a minority. Every club has it's share of lame brains. Proper Rugby League fans should wince every time a club lands itself in trouble.

I've watched RL for over thirty years and i love (or used to) the Halifax v Bradford rivalry. In my head, that's all it's ever been - a rivalry and a bit of banter. If someone is spewing hate like the eejit Mr Cas then that's their problem and something is not quite right between the ears. These people should have been breast fed at birth, but they weren't. What can you do?
