Quote: M@islebugs "I feel sorry for Cummins. Leeds and Wigan in 4 days with that squad is impossible.

It's easy to look at his decisions but where are the signings? What do Green and Ferres expect to happen sending an academy side to Wigan?
?'"

Did we really send an academe by squad to Wigan? Our starting line up:

1. Kearney
2. Kear
3. Henry
4. Purtell
5. Wood
6. Gaskell
7. Gale
8. Nas
9. O'brien
10. Fakir
11. Olbison
12. Walker
13. Addy

Pretty old academy squad. Only Wood is an academy player

I'm not sure FC is the right man. There's big questions over the 7 shirt and, why the props look so light and defensive line speed.

But where's the support for the bloke?'"

Wigan had half their first team OUT.God knows what the score would have been if they had been at full strength.

FERRES OFFERS PUBLIC APOLOGY
pic
22nd April 2014
MANAGING director Steve Ferres has expressed an apology following yesterday's defeat at the hands of Super League champions Wigan Warriors.
Ferres, who was appointed last month following the club's takeover, has moved to thank supporters for their continual backing.
In a statement, he said: “On behalf of Bradford Bulls, I would like to apologise for what was a truly woeful and embarrassing display, yesterday, against Wigan Warriors.
“It was, without any doubt, the worst performance I have seen by a Super League side – and one of the worst I have ever seen.
“I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all the supporters who gave up a bank holiday, despite the busy Easter Weekend traffic, and made the strenuous journey over the Pennines.
“Our loyal supporters stuck with the team throughout the course of what was a tortuous 80 minutes.
“The squad has hit a low point and a route and branch review of what went wrong, why it happened and where we are going is now underway.
“The board of directors accept they have inherited a squad, which has been stripped of talent and hampered by injuries.
“But that cannot be used as an excuse for what happened at the DW Stadium.
“The club's new owner, Marc Green, is working tirelessly to improve its fortunes. In our sport, I have never met anyone as committed to turning something around.
“Supporters can rest assured that no stone will be left unturned as Mr Green and his team address the problems currently facing the club.
“At this stage, all we ask is for you, our fantastic supporters, to work with us and remain as committed as you have always been.
“We are commited to again making this club something for you, the supporters, to be proud of."

What a ridiculous post. Would you prefer that nothing is said and it is all swept under the carpet?

I never knew that Bruce Springsteen was our gaffer???

That probs explains the fact that the team has no idea what it is doing.

Yes. Indeed. I'm glad the board are speaking out at their disgust but let's see something positive done about it. A review? That's not going to help us next week.

Agreed. The board making an apology will hopefully have an effect of the squad. Strong words from the board. We don't have a magic wand or a bottomless pit of cash. For me I see this has the board making it known they are not happy with recent performances. If this doesn't spurr them into action then I agree heads must roll. I see this ads the board giving Cummins a chance to rectify this as a reward for his loyalty. The next two games will decide his fate IMO. But at least the board aren't silent unlike the Hood regime in McNamara years

I can't see Bradford winning a league game until June. Rather than rushing to buy the first players that become available they are better taking time or risk digging a deeper hole.

Possibly so. But, in the short term, the boss can only work with the tools that he has at his disposal. And it seems to me that he would use a screwdriver to saw a piece of wood and a hammer to screw in some nails.
