I actually think Gelling could be a decent player, he's a big lad and has plenty of skill and aggression.

He strikes me as someone who took up RL about 6 months ago. Plenty of natural ability but his skills are shocking. I've said before that he will not make a top level SL player as long as I have a hole in my harris. He has improved marginally but at 23, or whatever, he is miles off the required standard. It's a toss up who will retire first without ever developing the required RL skills - Gelling or that big, daft Welsh ex-yawnion bloke with stupid hair.

I have been told by a very good source that we are signing *********** who I can tell you has played in the NRL. However I cannot betray my source. So I post this information so that you know that I know; when they do sign, I will be able to say "Yes, that's the guy, I told you I knew". Or if by some chance we don't sign someone who has played in the NRL then it won't be because my information was wrong, it will be because the deal fell through. And because i never named the player, you won't have any way of checking.

I don't mind the rumors, as a supporter it actually excites me that we are still looking for decent players. Fair enough, 9 out of 10 might be 'Joe Tamani' specials, but your always wondering if the next rumor is genuine.

Few have come good so far, I think the Gaskell was mentioned before announced. Carvell was mentioned before the press release, so not all the rumors are false

Andy Powell? When I watched him play union I always thought that he would make a good league player. He tackled hard, made good yards and was very aggressive. I was quite jealous when Wigan signed him. But it just doesn't seem to be happening for him in league.

If he was the same age as Gelling I have little doubt he would adapt, but he's over 30 already. He needs 2 or 3 years to get used to the game which I am not sure his body has left. Massive gamble by the inbred hillbillies.

You seem to be convined that its a kiwi and hes not been mentioned on this forum so im gonna chuck another name in Chase Stanley who plays for St George hes out of contract this year hes played for New Zeland even though hes born in AUS (plays centre) and plays both wing and back row we know how FC loves his utility players
