Great play from Bradford that almost ends with a superb try but the kick just beats Purtell in the corner. Bradford finishing strong but beaten by a strong Catalans second half performance.

Well beaten in the second half. I think we only had the ball in their half 3 times in the second half. We couldn't seem to stop them down our right hand side. I also think L'Estrange is far better than Diskin. Addy's been poor too.

Hard to say with no replays but some dodgy looking scores flattered Catalans. They were better than us in the second half, but these decisions going their way put them on a roll.

Will be interested to see -
1. Was it a free play?
2. Did the Cats player step off the mark to his right and around Whitehead at marker?
3. Was Pryce held up?

All academic, and Cats deserved to win on their pack's second half effort, but the scoreline doesn't do us justice. Well done Bulls. A decent effort.

A game we were capable of winning but through some poor defence, questionable refereeing calls and some wrong decision making in the second half we ended up with jack.
The positives are that i believe we now have the talent to beat the top sides its just a question of the team now believing that.

We played some dumb football in the second half, Sammut and Addy were poor today. Hopefully we will have Blythe and Lulia back for Leeds away too.

On the free play. Whitehead was tackled straight after the kick. We shipped it wide after this.

The game went exactly according to my script.

We are always going to do it tough against a big side like Catalans. We started off well but then made a few errors in the 2nd half and we just couldn't wrestle the momentum back from the Catalans.
It was another spirited performance though and the tries we scored were good quality. Most teams in SL would struggle without their main playmaker, 2 first choices centres and only 3 Props.

Hopefully a few bodies will be back for the Easter period and hopefully no new injury concerns.

Catalans were without their star playmaker (Dureau) their regular FB (Webb) and their bruising centre (Duport).

I think that evened it out. Unfortunately for Bradford, Catalans have depth, and an interchange French hooker (Pelissier) who is better than the import who starts the game (Henderson).

Yeah he is rubbish that Hendo, as are all your "imports". I'd get rid of them if I were you.

Not sure Webb is much of a loss, it would more likely have doubled the amount of penalties we were awarded! But yes the lack of depth in our squad due to last years problems will make things tough when we lose a few to injury.

Some great team spirit is covering the weaknesses well though and I've not left a game yet wondering if they really gave their all.

Whatever happened to that Damien Cardace at Catalan?? He was a quick player.
Morgan Escare (2icon_cool.gif did well at FB against us but it's the Beaver who caused us a lot of problems

Cats are a tough prospect at home but if we'd kept our composure and made a few less mistakes we could have won. Think we missed our senior absentees like Langley, Gale, Lulia and Walker. I'm not convinced with our fringe defence with Whitehead in the centres but we've no other options with the injuries we have.

Damien Cardace is playing for the feeder club in the French Elite. Apparently the coach prefers Mathias Pala to Damien Cardace.

We looked good in patches and did some quality stuff at times, but we made some dumb errors too, and then 'went to sleep' somewhat in the second half. Given the injuries, and lack of squad depth, I'm far from despondent though, Les Cats are a good side, and fully deserved the points, and they won't lose many at the Gilbert Brutus. Brilliant week-end as always though with the superb French fans - just hoping we get a few bodies back for the Leeds game.
