| need to know more details but a couple of things spring to mind.
1. If we move to VP then we have to pay part of odsal settlement back to council (1.9mil I think), unless council waive it which could explain some comments from councillor Ward over last few weeks.
2. What level would season tickets be set at? VP is all seater so all fans that currently get ground admission are effectively going to be forced to upgrade to seated prices and I suspect eveon those will be higher than the pre-pledge family stand prices at odsal. So would expect a big dropoff in seaon ticket sales, probably down to 3kish level.
3. How would Rugby side be funded? Given one star signing for city would fund entire SL salary cap for a year, could see a potential conflict of interest issue.
on positive side playing at VP would remove ongoing problem of upgrading odsal and tick all stadium checkboxes. Assuming we stay in SL this license period would probably be guaranteed a license for 2014-2016 period too.

| If it's unconditional it shirley cannot mention moving to VP, even if that is the intention. Or as you are now merely sub-tenants is that actually a condition?

| Unless City want to save money on the large rent they are paying at VP by moving to Odsal.
Any move to VP is totally out of the question in my book.

I don't want to see the club fold but there must be a better option than VP. If the club goes there it will see a massive drop in attendances which is the total opposite of what is needed.

Bulls at VP.
Odsal sold off for development
Money from someone like Steve Parkin, coming out of the Odsal redevelopment
Caisley in charge of the rugby side of the business
Noble head coach
Tasker GM
That would be my prognosis, in the absence of further information.
Can't see City leaving VP. The collective apoplexy from their fans would be deafening.

| just did some back of envelop calculations. Assuming rugby ticket price is set same as citys (£20) and season tickets are discounted at same rate for rugby as football (65%) and take into account different number of games (13v23) then we'd probably be looking at £170 ish which is pretty much what I suspect we'd have been going upto for ground admission at odsal next year. Lot of assumptions in there I know but a bit more encouraging than £260 figure thats been floating around on social media sites.

1) I think you are right the council will "waive" their right to future money they wouldn't get anyway if the club folds
2) ST prices were going to have to go up sharply whatever happened, even if we had avoided admin
3) Another way of looking at it would be to say - to fund a successful football team you need tens of millions - whereas a SL club can buy success for millions. its a way of them spreading the risk.
And as you say moving to VP answers the problems and costs relating to the state of Odsal

My money would be on the £260.
Too littlke detail to comment more objectively about this latest development. I fear it will pan out as I speculated a while back; I HOPE it pans out rather differently. There is always hope.

Tbh If they do that then they can forget anyone who currently pays ground admission prices getting a season ticket. Would expect season ticket numbers to drop to around 1k at that price. No benefit to getting a season ticket as its no cheaper than paying on the gate.

A move from Odsal would seem to be inevitable for a viable business. Although not at all my wish, I would not have an issue with moving to VP if it saved the club and in SL. I fear the club could die a slow death at VP, unless new support is attracted, but that would be one for the future.
What I WOULD have a big problem with would be if anyone who had previously been a major shareholder/director of the club, or any of their cronies, was involved. Or is planned to be involved once the dust settles.
