| Quote: eddievan " We are not a cash rich club and without a wealthy backer we will struggle to compete. I am totally convinced that our current BOD have the bulls interests at heart, they are fans and have 0% chance of making any money for their investments and efforts.'"
If you swap the word "bulls" for "wildcats" you have exactly the same scenario that we were facing at Belle Vue 15 months ago.
Having spoken directly to our former directors when they were asking the fans for cash, there was no doubting that they wanted to see the club competing and be rid of their cash flow issues. Again, they were never going to make a return on their investment.
Adey, I know that your support for the scheme is driven by one thing - your love for the club. But if you were looking at any other business in the same situation, I'm sure you're professional knowledge would lead you to recommending they appoint administrators asap.

| Quote: Adeybull "Er...because the directors would have to pay hundreds of thousands of pounds, personally. Why the hell should they be asked to or expected to do that? Especially when they do the job for free, and their shares are essentially worthless?
And anyway, it would be for the BANK to call in the guarantees, and that would only happen if the club became formally insolvent.
And, if you wonder why the Board chose to repay the overdraft...it almost certainly didn't. It does not work that way. You basically pay money into the account and the bank grabs it. And won't let you make any payments without their leave - it will just bounce them for being over the limit. The BOD will have likely been told by the bank
No need for the patronising tone mate , i was just curious ?
If as you say their shares are worthless and this lifeline from the supporters get you out of the mire , then the share prices will rise again, who benefits from that ?, certainly not the supporters who have rescued the club.
Anyway i hope all turns out well for the club

| Must admit feel a little let down after The BOD said there would be a Pledge total on the web-site. Maybe it's difficult to calculate or perhaps it's going very very well

| It's a cracking effort to raise that amount in 5 days left. Realistically are you confident of making the total? At that rate you should do it but the second 200k might be harder to make with I would imagine alot of pledges made in the first week. The auction looks good that should raise some brass.
Wish I had the money spare tho buy all the shirts and rings and give them back to their owners which would be a nice touch. If I win the lottery in time I may do that.
I am a Leeds fan looking forward to the game and will be paying on the gate. Is the gate money for the Leeds game linked into the total you require?
Well done so far and good luck. I know there have been fans from all clubs gloating but I ain't one of them and hope you get the money raised

I think we'll make the first total...its the next 500k that will need outside investment IMHO. I also hope that whoever buys the shirts and rings at the auction that have been so kindly donated either give them back or loan them to the club to display so the players can still go see them.
As far as I know the gate money for the Leeds game does not count towards the pledge, which is partly why the club launched the "virtual ticket", which does;
rlhttps://www.bradfordbulls.co.uk/news/5782/VIRTUAL%20TICKET%20LEEDSrl
What [iwill [/ihelp by turning up in numbers is creating an amazing atmosphere for the potential investors....who I would hope will be being wined and dined in hospitality that night. Any investor who is waivering might be convinced by witnessing a classic derby and a full house like the 24,000 game in '99 (same result as well obviously )
It should be a special occation whatever happens...one of them "I was there nights" I suspect.
Cheers for the thoughts

| £250k announced at end of car wash. Seems a variety of totals doing the rounds. Perhaps deliberately vague to prevent eye off the ball syndrome?
