| Quote: Highlander "Ok. Time to talk about the game itself?
I think it’ll be close but we’ll win. Differences are we’ve nearly a full squad to choose from. Attitude will be right, and not undermined by any young loanees. Reading the Greenwood article from earlier in the week, our loans currently are Fenton Rodgers (who fits everyone’s criteria of a “proper” loan - all year long basically) and possibly Mason.
So, for me
Harsh on Rodgers think he's been our best middle and would start in front of Lawrence for me

| With the grown ups on the park we should be ok. No Lawrence or Thompson and we'll struggle with the housery they'll throw our way

| Dammit. I wrote about him in the starting paragraph and forgot to put him in. Tricky. Baldwinson, Rogers are both playing well as starting props. But Lawrence if fit has to start. Scurr is playing well as interchange prop. Mason has had 1 good game for us. Mason misses out then

| what a total waste of time this tired format is.
I think we'll lose and be subjected to more pant peeing from that lot because it's their cup final
stupid summer bash even the name is naff. Get rid of the magic weekend too that's a waste of time a silly gimmick that devalues the competition.
and don't get me started on the clubs bringing out new kits for it.
A festival of mens and womens nines games from all the different leagues with some of the top amatuer sides thrown in would be better IMO. Overall winners get a trophy but no impact on league standings.

| Now available to buy on OurLeague.
Why is everything left to the last minute? There is potential in the app, it just needs some TLC to make it more usable, and a proper schedule for it.
I would probably have brought the game, but when I saw we weren't on Viaplay, I decided to make plans.
Should have been sorted weeks ago.

And this is exactly why Fenton could miss out. The spoiling tactics in the heat of a derby and his running style could be a flash point whereas you’d expect Lawrence would steer the group away from that.

| Strongest squad of the season this week. There can be zero excuses this time.
Aj is in the reserves tomorrow so he will miss out
6 oot of the 7 backs pick them selves if all fit.
Only question is Jowitt or Patten to partner Holmes.
3 second rowers (including 1 on the bench) will be Butler, England and BT
Lilley at 9
Middles in anyones guess could be any combination!

| IF they are all fit then that is a good looking squad to pick from, but I'm just suspecting that not all of them are 100%.
Wasn't planning on going to York after the Cougar Park humiliation but things have changed quite a bit since then so might just be tempted.

Strongest squad we’ve named since the start of the season. Will be interesting to see how we go now we have most of our players back fit again.

Neither of them had any real impact. JQ probably arrived at the worst time and plugged the gap whilst DFJ was out.

| Think I'd start with Lawrence and Baldwinson then rotate Scurr and Mason. Fenton's been good but we don't want to find ourselves down to 12.
Jowitt or Patton I can't decide. If Patton turns up I'd have to say Patton by a whisker

| Patton everyday for me. I know he's not everyones cups of tea and is hugely frustrating, BUT his goal kicking probably won us the game against Swinton. Jowitt also got caught out a few times defensively against Swinton.
Be interesting to see how Patton goes how Holmes is his HB partner and he's got the pace of Walker & Lilley at FB and Hooker.
