Yes I tried to do the same - Farce Friday..
Called the Bulls office at 10am Friday
Me - Do you have standing tickets available for the York game?
Him - We have tickets for the York game
Me - are these seated or standing?
Him - Dont know sorry - I'll find out and call you back.
12pm - no call back
12:15 called the office again - different person answered - same conversation as above.
2pm - no call back
2:15 called the office again - same conversation for third time
Me - forget it mate.
More lost revenue then!

| I'm also missing because my sister-in-law booked us a murder mystery weekend in Haworth, and apparently they couldn't do any date. Needless to say I wasn't impressed since York was the away day I was looking forward to most.

Just go to York without telling them and ignore all phone calls. Change it to a kidnapping mystery. You be the 'victim' take yourself off to York for a few hours without telling them whilst they figure out who's 'kidnapped' you. Everyone's a winner

Although I'm a Cas fan I help out in the club shop at York City Knights on a matchday, so I'll do my best to answer some of the questions posted in here.
Most games we just have the one stand open, which is the main stand, this holds about 1,700 and is seated. Ignore the 'reserved' stickers on the seats, that's for football. For rugby it's unreserved.
The last big crowd down here (we usually get 800-1200) was the Toronto match, when the attendance was 2,602. For that match we had the David Longhurst stand open, this is a terracing stand behind the sticks and it's covered. Apparently it holds 3,000 and I've no doubt it will be open for this match.
I can't see the club opening a third stand, I estimate the crowd will be 3,500 which will comfortably fit in the 2 stands but they will have a plan in place should the crowd push this.
For the Toronto match there was free movement between the stands until the seating stand sold out, looking at the Eventbrite info it says you can't transfer between seating and standing.
For those who like to sit, you should be fine getting a seat as long as you're there by 2.30pm (don't hold me to this, ok?!).
It's a good atmosphere but the ground has had it's day, fortunately work is underway at the new stadium but anyway if it's raining don't sit at the front, it's a rickety old stand (it's cousin is the seating stand at Cas!) and leaks at the front. Likewise don't sit on the front row behind the dugout, it's a bad view.
If you're having trouble buying from Bradford you can buy here, price is £15 regardless of whether you sit or stand. Over 65s £10, and U16s are free.

I believe there will be dedicated turnstile(s) whereby you can print off your eventbrite voucher in advance and get it scanned at the turnstile - maybe someone who has bought one can confirm?
Parking is virtually non existent around the ground as it's residential and a lot is permit parking. At best I'd say there's usually about 30 free parking spaces dtoted on residential streets around the ground, I struggle to get one and I'm there 3 hours early! I normally park towards the top of Burton Stone Lane at the junction with Shipton Street, this isn't a permit zone but like I say you'd have to be there early to get a space. Oh, and don't take my spot.
A better idea is to get the park and ride. Apparently there's a bus from Clifton Moor (shopping centre) and you can get off at the hospital, and follow the railway bridge over the tracks and you're at the ground. Not sure what the parking restrictions are like at Clifton Moor (it's got a huge Tesco so they may only allow so many hours) but it's the number 6 bus you want. For the particularly energetic, park on Knavesmire road near the racecourse for free and walk across town, it's about 2.5 miles but it's a nice walk along the walls and plenty of watering holes along the way.
Looking forward to the game anyway, I remember when you used to bring 4,000+ to Cas so hope you travel in numbers again. If anyone wants any further info just PM me and I'll do my best to answer.

| I think some people might be in for a shock on tha prediction post, if the bulls do get a result there I will be surprised, I know a couple of lads there and they are claiming it’s a given that York will win

| Yes there are a number of pay and display car parks nearby, I never thought to check the website! All within easy walking distance, details here
I don't think it's a given York will win, I'm quietly confident because it's been a productive pre-season but Bradford should still be slight favourites to win. I'm not a betting man but I'd imagine York would be given a +8 start.
