Great gritty performance at last we seemed to know how to tackle. Roby was useless as usual. We really stepped up when Sammut and LeStrange came on. Sammutt provides the spark we have missed these last matches when he has not played.
But what a nuggett Lineham is (I think it was him) last minute and he regains possesion for them we show him the touchline and he goes for it only to lose the ball in an attempt to stay in field giving us the chance to score the final try, bet Gentle will have something to say about that.

They stopped sending Roby as a ref so they send him as a linesman instead, he gives Hull a penalty for a a shoulder charge from Jamie Langley that never was, Hull were way offside in his side of the pitch he is an absolute Plonker (not allowed to say anything worse). He has even started growing a beard so we cant recognise him!!

We were poor in places but our defence definitely got us through, if we sort out the giving away the ball within 10mts of the opponents line after the second or third tackle we should win the rest of the matches bar the last one Shudderfield.

Very very proud, tremendous effort. Thought Olbison improved 100% from last couple of months. Didn't think were going to win when we coughed it up for about the 4th time in their 20. We were a different side when L'estrange and Sammut came on. I would be offering Sammut a 4 year contract, half backs are in such short supply and we have got a very good one. We need to tie him up. Thought Nas was absolutely immense tonight and thoroughly deserved the MOM.

Massive game at Wakey in 2 weeks time.

Our forwards played awesome tonight, Nas was immense, Evans had a good game and Scruton is probably playing his best rugby since we signed him.

Defence was awesome, although we can never seem to pin a team in their own 20, we always seem to give them a cheap way out.

I'm going to put it out there...... it was the fireworks that made the difference tonight, even though they continued until the 20th minute

Told you its the robbie factor he's been back 2 weeks and we have played to great games vs wigan and hull its looking bright me thinks, there may be some problems we are unaware about but aslong as they don't interfere with the club as a whole let us all try and crack on together.

There were mistakes and a lack of direction at times but the fight was there and that's what I want to see.
Manny MOM definitely. On the field for about 60 minutes and still up for it at the end.

Yep, that's what I was talking about on ME's ridiculous thread. Those lads is who I go to support, and tonight, they repaid me handsomely.

It was one of those nights when you just had to be there. Just watched the replay on Sky and Eddie was right, it harked back to the good old days.

Special mention to the crowd, very vocal in getting behind the team when they needed a lift. And what ultimately won it for us, apart from the sheer electricity that Sammut alone can provide, was that magnificent goal line defence in the back to back sets. Awesome. Just awesome.

Great to see a win and how important it was to the players, shame about the knocks to Bateman and Olbison hopefuly the two week rest is long enough to sort them out. Fantastic team spirit roll on the next match.

That was the first match that I really thought Ben Evans showed that he could be a very good forward. Previously he's done bits and pieces but yesterday he was consistently good. Thought Scruton showed up really well again and the hit on O'Meley was a joy to watch.

Wonderful show from the pack. We've had times when we've defended as well but not for such sustained periods as we did last night - so much for the rubbish about the owners, coaching staff and players being in some kind of civil war, yeah it [ireally[/i stood out last night...

When Sammut and L'Estrange came on the game changed. L'Estrange's pace from dummy-half and Sammut's flair helped us get the upper hand. Sammut's step and fend for Diskin's try was superb.

Also, mentions to Gale, whose kicking game was top class, and Manuokafoa and Scruton, who both stood up the Hull pack, defended well, and made good meters.
