| Nobby would be in the same boat as MP, nothing would change in personel, defence may stiffen up, but he had quite a few poor defensive games during his tenure, but he is one of the best motivators in the game when it comes to turning round poor first halfs,
Too many people panicking too early as usual, after Easter will show whether it will be better or not!

Lulia just missed last few games of season iirc.

| Bit of a difference between being injured and playing reserve grade though. Point I was making was that he didnt miss most of season injured. And once he got in team he stayed in it even after the injured players he replaced came back as he was playing well up til his own injury.

Spot on, he was solid when called into the team last season and wouldn't have lost his place if it hadn't been for injury. Got a lot of praise from the Knights fans and coaching staff.
Personally, I feel he's a better player than Purtell, even though he played pretty much every game for Penrith over the past two seasons when fit.

Feel that is correct. We're not spending money like it's going out of fashion, as we were when Nobby was last here, because we have had to prioritise outgoings a bit more, so the background would be totally different. People can moan about the current chairman as much as they want, but he's the one who headed the board which has brought the club back to a sustainable financial position after the madness of previous years.

Didn't make any comment on the 'scoring for fun comment' just the injured most of season bit.

| Nobby let Ryan Atkins go & kept Matt Cook as his centre for the future when
they were both in academy/under 20s. So be careful what you wish for.
Incidentally there were 3 ex Bulls academy centres playing in the Wire/Hudds
game at the weekend.

Not sure any coach actually "let Atkins go", to be fair. IIRC He was out of contract and more pertinently as far as the club was concerned he was, at the time, around fifth choice in the centres so didn't get the contract offer he was hoping for (well, not from the Bulls, anyway) so he took a better offer. I Don't blame him and nor do I really blame the club for not having a crystal ball.
Sadly, when the financial chickens came home to roost and many of our 'big names' (including the chairman) departed for greener pastures, players like Ryan had gone. If that 'crystal ball' had been available maybe different decisions might have been made, or then again, maybe the management at the time didn't do too much thinking about the future.

With your opinion which is of no consequence at all.: |

As far as I remember, that's not quite accurate. I believe he was allowed to go to Wakefield on loan in mid-season by Noble, shortly before his move to Wigan. After MacNamara took over (but still mid-season), the loan was made permanent.

I wouldn't argue with that.
