This is now Maccas team and i for one are 100% behind him, we lost away to the team that finished 3rd last season, L**** lost at HOME to Cas. The Scousers lost at HOME to Hull. So come on get behind the boys the good times are on the way back. Keep the faith we are all in this together. Old Trafford or Wembley i really dont mind. Run with the BULLS we,re better than alright.'" I think you also need to look at the fact you were 16 nil down and it should have been 24 if hodgson had jumped on the ball instead of watching the ball roll out of play. The reardon try at the end was a 50/50 call that went your way but could not have been given, it looked very much in touch to me. you were never in the game. That should be a concern.
I see you mention Leeds as some consolation but the fact is the rhinos ripped cas appart enough times but blew chance after chance. it's a game Leeds literaly threw away with drop ball after drop ball with the line beggin. Cas got a foot hold in the game and earned a well deserved win. Chase short kicking game killed leeds in the final 1/4
the fact you didn't even compete with hudds should be a concern, the fact saints didn't compete with hull is a big concern to their fans

In touch my Ass..quite clearly on the many replays his elbow touched the try line as did the ball (final slo mo on sky showed this), you could argue 12 of shudders 16 points were down to dropped ball on our part so did we "literaly throw the game away" fact is had our defence been anywhere near the standard it should have been the game would have been a lot closer, never in the game funny that i seem to recall we battered shudders line for 20 solid minutes in the second half,,is that not "in the game" had the 3 conversions gone over 18 ponts for us hardly a walk in the park for them eh?...
i thank you

| Had we got all our conversions there would have been a 6 point ball game. Perhaps very flattering but we'd still have been in the game. While there are some concerns it's not quite as bad as all that.
BTW the final Reardon try was not 50/50 at all. It was clearly a try if you keep your eye on the ball.

| 'Had we' is never ending really, at the end of the day we didn't get our conversions and as I said we were never in the game. Hudds also bombed two chances and the final score could have been much less flattering. We had our chances but weren't good enough to compete on the night.

As you say coulda, woulda, shoulda. We lost by 12 - not a cricket score. I'd say we were in the game when we pulled back to 16-8 this wasn't a quins/wire style thrashing. Unfortunately in the second half we came out of traps like a 3 legged asthmatic tortoise and conceded the Fa'alogo try but it didn't end the game as a contest, we competed until the end otherwise Hudders would've won by more wouldn't they? We only lost the 2nd half 8-4 and I don't recall Hudders bombing many chances and being all over us. If anything we cocked up more than them!

No you're right it wasn't a cricket score and for me it wasn't about the score, more the performance. I am an optimistic fan but I can honestly say that after our good 10 minute spell at the start I could never see us winning the game. Even in the second half when we had repeat sets I just couldn't see us scoring, it felt like hudds were still in control even when we were attacking. When I say bombed chances I mean when Hodgson failed to drop on the ball and also when one of their players ( sorry can't remember the name) knocked on trying to put the ball down.
Anyway that's behind us now, looking forward to a better performance on Sunday.

Aye, and Eddie is hinting at it too. And, as we all know:

| When McNamara actually does something that suggests that he is capable then I will lay off him. But he won't do so. He is taking us backwards at an alarming rate and should have been sacked ages ago.
He is just a joke of a "coach".

That's what I was thinking tigs (but with better grammer)
For shame ME, for shame
I wipe the slate clean with Macca after last season and with all the new faces it will take time for them to gel. Especially against a well-oiled outfit like Hudds. So I'll be sticking to the famous 10 game rule.
Out of curiousity ME how many wins are needed of the next 9 to restore your faith in Macca?
