I can play 6 or 7. I'm bloody terrible at it, but I CAN play there.
The wording does suggest it's someone whose primary position hasn't been 6 or 7 but has played there before doesn't it?

I’d have been far more confident if Green had said that they currently have a scrum half on the radar and hope to announce something soon.
The utility backs that tend to flit between both half back positions rarely have the organisational qualities of a natural ball playing scrum half, which I believe we are missing. They usually look like a stand-off playing at scrum half and tend to have more of a running game. Obviously an improvement on what we currently have though.

Maybe the environment, the stadium, the facilities, the owner, the manager, you will have to ask him....

Would make some sense. Did quite well by most accounts when filling in recently, and once Dorn, Hampshire, Roberts & Gale are all fit, he won't be getting a sniff at the Jungle.

It does depend on the level this supposed player has done his bit in the halves. In our position, the second division, a solid SL or NRL 'occasional' half coming to the 'back end' would be a decent fit. Not for the future but for right now.

Absolutely. And until we know who it is, it's difficult to praise or criticise it.
After the underwhelming news of Richie Mathers last time an exciting signing was touted, I'm gearing myself up for Ryan McGoldrick.

| Ryan has been a super player, imo, but sadly I think the operative words may be "has been". Thought he'd retired, tbh.

| Well first and foremost we just need to get a scrum half within the squad. Ideally though I'd like to see somebody brought in on a permanent deal who we've actually identified as somebody who can fit into our setup. After all this time waiting I would be a bit disappointed if we signed somebody else's youngster to develop but I guess beggars can't be choosers.
When Ferres talked about a 7 who can also play a few positions I instantly thought of Pita Godinet.

Yeh, so I've seen but only on a 1 year deal and he hasn't made many appearances from what I have read.

| The wording from Ross at TandA is now stronger about Addey and Clark going. he now says Hudds are after Fergusson and Gaskell. Three of our best players and a good one in Clark. It is starting to look like a bit of an exodus.
a third of our team may be playing against their new team in the play offs. That will be tough for them it it happens. One with his mind not quite on the job is bad enough but four of them.
I am starting tho think that it may be too late for this season for Smith to have a big impact. We may have to accept that we start again and go again next season.
I like everyone like Jimmy but I do wish he had gone after that £1m game as it has left us in a bit of a hole right now.
