We might even get traffic on this site to rival our admin/liquidation efforts if that happens....there would be parts of West Yorkshire where people would simply implode with rage against us and the rfl.

To be fair though the rfl and the clubs did say, and I think it's started, that they would review the current system after 3 years. Of which this is the third. And I think it's far from certain this system stays as it is. I just hope whatever system we switch to, or if this one is just amended, there is still a pathway of some description to Super league for any club that gets themselves close to that level.

I would think some of the current decision makers in the rfl and sl will be looking at hull kr, Toulouse, Toronto, and possibly us (don't know if that's just rab tinted specs on though) and seeing that there is potential outside of super league and at least a route into sl needs to be open, but I'd say it'll be short of a return to full licensing and parachuting teams back in.

I think the system should stay as it is. If we go back to one up one down or two up two down we have the same problems as last time. Clubs overspending to stay up and going bust or coming up for a season to go back down.

At least this way clubs have to see if they are SL standard by beating SL teams in the 8's. £1million match is a good concept just needs altering slightly.

I am a fan of franchising if done correctly. Using the same system as last time won't work. Unfortunately the RL community are against the idea of certain mergers in order to create an NRL like competition. Their structure would work well over here. Same 14 teams (all strong with good academies) year on year with the possibility of an expansion (ala Gold Coast) if a club outside the SL deemed themselves worthy on field and off field. Like Leigh did over the past 3 seasons.

Not sure we need to "imagine" what their board [iwould [/ibe like. As soon as they get a sniff of even a [isuggestion[/i of anything like that I'm certain a representative sample of their membership will be here pronto to tell us in person...

Super League needs a strong Bradford Bulls, not the likes of Wakefield & Halifax...so a return to licencing is the best option in my book.

To further this point, what exactly have Wakefield and Halifax ever brought to Super League? Bottom of the table dwellers and sub standard crowds?

The way it is now ensures that if you go into Admin once you will repeat it again and again.

Fax finished third at the start of SL. They had some cracking fans around that time. They all deserted the sinking ship & went to Cas.
