If we came out in the same frame of mind as last time, they could play him in a bath chair!

| Yes, Agree that let's put an end to yesterdays game. What was done is now over.
If I was a Wakey fan I would be a little concerned about next week. The Bulls will be out to get their own back as we did at Leigh. Wakey are definitely beatable. They are a team of average players who finished bottom of the SL teams twice this year - league and in the play-offs.
We have one game in which to perform. There are no pre-made excuses for the players and especially the coach.
Win and you are cheered and applauded.
Lose but give everything you have and you will be patted on the back and told "good effort lads".
Lose convincingly with lack of effort - well, get ready for a seasons worth of ordinary performances criticism come down on your heads.
It is now up to you Jimmy and the lads.
Good luck from thousands of fans with their fingers crossed.

| Quote: Ferocious Aardvark "There never was any chance of a home tie and this always was a dead rubber. Lowes has got us to the big game by picking his matches and this one was not targeted. The poor performance of the stiffs that did play is of course quite another matter, if ever they had an incentive to bust a gut then that was it, instead... But yes, he treated it correctly as a pointless game, to get out of the way and test some reserves. They failed'"

I don't believe him. Mind games, just like the Godinet stunt the last time we played them.

Thats a decent lineup you've listed there but still not quite good enough to win.

This just a bit more than an injury stunt.

If he's not in the country then fair enough, but leaving key players out of one of the most important fixtures your club has played in recent years, all for an internal investigation? It seems a bit much imo. You play the game, secure the club's future, and then sort out the issues afterwards.

Tim Smith is a little more serious than just for an internal investigation apparently it's court Wednesday for him.

| Quote: Ferocious Aardvark "I am not having that. The issue in the second half was nothing to do with fitness. It was about the team not being interested. They gave up. You can't even say that was due to several stiffs being in as our normal team has done the same several times, once we get behind, with us there is a risk we will put the cue on the rack, this is why we continue to get regular 50 point towellings.
Surely you'd agree that the reserves are all full-time professionals and so should have full fitness, plenty fit enough to match part-timers? And that as they were getting a rare chance, you could reasonably expect them to - if anything - play harder and with more determination than the regulars, to try to force themselves into contention for the big one?
No, they gave up. Simple as.
'"
Well, yes and I gave solid reasons why that might have been the case, like sitting on their collective 'arrisses, with no reserve grade to occupy their thoughts, for most of the season. The bottom line is that it's part of Lowesy's remit to manage his troops and that includes their mental fitness to take part in games. This isn't a tirade against Jimmy Lowes, as I said earlier, he's done [iexactly[/i what he was tasked to do - get us into the 'big one' next weekend, but it's obvious that some of those squad members who took part against Fax, apart from not being 'match fit', looked 'disaffected' and that sort of attitude comes from the top.
It's not his fault that there is no 'reserve grade' and we certainly couldn't loan out the lot of them but they could have been used intermittently through the season and not just left out. They could have been used to give a break to the regulars a bit more often and made to feel wanted, and whatever the truth is don't know, but some of them didn't look as if they cared over much.

| There's only one area where I believe the balance between resting and nurturing was wrong this year and that's hooker. AOB deserved a break and Halafihi deserved to be eased in.
