| Don't presume to tell me what I do or do not think, sunshine.
My response was to your comments about his performance on Sunday - which by general consent on here was deemed to be sort of "OK". It was not about earlier performances, where I entirely concurred with the generality of opinion on here - poor, bordering on disastrous.
And I did not say anyone's opinion was "tripe".
By all means express an opinion - everybody's right. But when I asked you to tell us a bit more to help us understand your opinion (given in fairness that it was very much at variance with what people on here, and myself, say they saw on Sunday) you chose not to. Instead you just launched an attack on me and accused me of calling your opinions "tripe". I suggest that does sort of make it harder for people to give your opinion the degree of credibility you clearly believe it deserves?

Can't agree about Platt, but that's just my opinion. When we first signed him he was a decent fullback. Unfortunatly under our Coaching he seemed to get worse. Doesn't help when your suporting players don't support (Centres and Wingers) confidence takes a knock. The problem for Platt is we seem to have an abundance of Fullbacks or players who can play fullback (Kearney, Halley, Sykes, Reardon and Platt himself) Quality Centres and Wingers we don't have. Platt may well come good in the Centres as his confidence and fitness improve. The whole back line need instucting that when they receive the ball carry in both hands, look to the opposition sticks and run that way. Don't stop, don't think, just run! Stuart Spruce seemed to manage it most weeks. He never tried to fool anybody with fancy running, he just left the opposition with one choice, do I tackle him or not and run at them full tilt.

Apart from my view that Platt's problems arose not as a result of coaching, but due to some prominent howlers from which he's still probably psychologically recovering, I'd say that was all pretty accurate. Kearney doesn't need any telling though, and both Platt and Halley, if they have a place at all, it won't now be f/b but wing and centre respectively. I like Halley on the wing though wish he would "go for it" more, and I think Platt is one of our best centre choices.

Totally agree, he's been as good as anybody in the centres for us, but I don't think my nerves could stand him being back at full back.

It's simple. Adey had just flown his Learjet back from his estate in Hawaii, and forget to change the date back on his watch.

Bugger! That pesky 'Vark has rumbled me!
I'm really a secret millionaire, having made my fortune cloning and genetically-modifying guinea pigs using Ryan Bailey's DNA to become the new shock troops of the British Army. And I'm just about to donate a huge wadge of wonga in a Bullwards direction. Anonymously, I'd hoped, till that damn clever smartass earth pig blew my cover...
Oh well, since my cover is blown, what should I tell the club to do with my millions?
ps. my estate isn't in Hawaii; it IS Hawaii...

I think you should take over the stadium naming rights after the Grattan deal runs out at the end of this year and insist they call it the "F*ck Leeds Stadium".

Wouldn't the 'We all hate Leeds' stadium be more appropriate considering what the beatiful voices from last thurs had to say?

No he didn't. His basic tactic was to run along the line, looking for the lazy marker, which he was an amazing exploiter of. Having found the 'hole' he had the guile and pace to run through it. To suggest he was a mindless muppet who just ran full tilt into the defenders is almost libellous. We had props for that........even back then!

As presumptuous as stating a missed tackle count of 0 without any statistical evidence to back said claim?? Now I'm no statto but I witnessed at least 2... And I'm not a bowl noob so I have a good eye for the action there....

Wow. A first post, and you aim it at me! I'm honoured
I'm no statto either. But the club employs them. Maybe their eyes aren't as keen as yours. Put in for the job.
