The alteration of Adey's post is unacceptable in fairly representing his opinions.
The Board's integrity of posters has been compromised by this.
Can the Mods tell us how this happened and assure us it will not happen again

I can understand why Keighley folk don't recognise the fact that they are in Bradford. In exactly the same way that Leigh is strictly speaking part of Wigan.

Theres a growing level of dissent from these small towns who want to gain their independence from the big city that traditionally gives them scant respect. Even Morley is now governed by people who want to take it out of Leeds.

And the reason I did it is slightly more dull than you would all like I'm afraid. For us Mods right next to the "quote" button is the "edit" button. And in penning my response I pressed the wrong one and thought nothing more about it.

Thank heavens for that. After that business on the other thread, I was really worried we had a rogue mod (and I assumed from another board -I'll admit I suspected Keighley, but was baffled cos I have total respect for the guys who mod on there so could not see it being them ) messing about.

And in fact, I bet that post of mine on the Hudds board that got altered was down to the same problem.

And now it becomes my turn to apologise, for jumping to an over-hasty conclusion founded on something that had taken place elsewhere. My retort looks pretty badly expressed in the light of the explanation, and I apologise for the tone of it.

I'd quite like that! I've done it loads of times but, to date, have managed to spot it in time.

maybe fill the resulting gap next to the "quote" button with an new "exterminate user" button?
