| Clearly must be more to this than meets the eye.
Quite possible that the guy may have forgotten where his allegiances lay, and that he was being paid (assuming he was, and was not another "volunteer") to work for the club not the customers? But, even if that was to be the case, this is looking like another self-inflicted wound, I fear? Would he have gone had he been there lomg enough to take the club to a tribunal for unfair dismissal?
We none of us know the facts though, so speculation is not helpful and may be downright counterproductive. But someone said earlier that the honeymoon period is over, and IMO it would be sad indeed if today led to that.

The official kowtowing to Sod Hall and "el presidente" Never have happend in the Caisley or Hood tenures
www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/s ... s/?ref=rss
The phrase poor performance perhaps should read was too honest with regards the quality of stock in public!
It was an obvious excuse to get rid but thats a Management ploy, nothing changes in that respect!

| As Adeybull says there could be other issues here, but employment is a highly regulated area, and I don't think coming into work to find the locks on your office have been changed could be said to be part of a correct disciplinary process? or unless it says otherwise in a contract of employment that being what our Prime Minister would describe as a Twitter "t**t" would be grounds for summary dismissal?
Whatever the real reasons are behind this it doesn't seem to have been handled very well by the club - where was our glamourous in house spin doctor?

| To be fair, there are quite a few reasons why everything can't just be dumped into the public domain, ranging through our prurience not being sufficiently good reason, having a duty of confidentiality to their [exemployee and not wanting to prejudice any future legal action which may arise and indeed, not attract any other unwelcome action from the employee concerned.
Dirty washing in public is never a good idea but you can't just gather it all back in again, so what goes public stays public, and the club need to address the mess, which seems to be entirely of its own making.

| Well I do hope that Chris is reading this and is encouraged by a lot of the support that he is getting. Quite frankly I reckon that this is pretty ridiculous and it APPEARS that it really is no more than a storm in a teacup for me, from the evidence that I have read.
Great decision this by the club. After a bright new beginning we have now managed to p!$s off different sections of our support twice in just a couple of weeks. What a laughing stock we are.
And to the club officials who are eary-wigging on here, read the thread and see what your supporters thought of the gentleman in question. Over the last few years we have employed ex-convicts on the playing field and tried to sign a convicted wife beater (and would have succeeded if the visa was granted) yet a fairly (from what it appears) minor issue is now sackable?
Shameful.

| Just read the article in the T&A.
I'm shocked to read that he turned up for work as normal and the locks had been changed?
Is that even allowed? I suppose it's the Clubs property so they can do what they like perhaps but that just seems a MASSIVE over reaction?
Really am shocked by all of this.
All the club has to do is read through these 9 pages and see how much support there is for Chris and that’s BEFORE this happened.

The problem in the modern world is that sites like this are the public domain - so if you don't get a honest clear story out immediatley everyone will be speculating, and advancing their own agendas. It would be nice to think we lived in a rational world were people sought all the evidence, weighed it up carefully, and came to their own conclusion but in reality the vast majority simply believe without question what they hear first about an issue - or believe things to be true by virtue of the amount of times they are repeated - a method you might have noticed is used frequently by our political friends. That is why I would recommend a bit of considered thought before "sending for the locksmith" might have avoided this particular storm.
ps while I clearly don't agree with the sentiment printed on the shirt which started this, and think the Rhinos are fine, upstanding and worthy opponents I do hope we give them a sound thrashing tonight!!!!!!

| Have to say that I am kinda glad I started this thread now and WHEN I started it. At least it shows that this is not a knee-jerk reaction of "fawning" praise after the horse has bolted but more the proof that the guy was held in very high esteem from people before this took place. Maybe I am a mystic after all?
It certainly will not do his reputation any harm.
Come to think of it, I work in recruitment. I will happily give him a job.

Indeed. As I suspect is true for a lot of people he and the people on the turnstiles have so far been my only contact with anyone associated with the new regime and I thought he was excellent.

| On his twitter page he had a pic showing an away shirt printed with Bulls 1 and the Bulls is along one of the blue hoops and I genuinely thought this was the offending pic.
