| I wouldn't be completely against moving to VP, under the right terms.
TBH, I'm getting fed up of clinging to a sliver of hope.....FFS make the decision; either build it or have the balls to say you're not and we can all start looking to the future!

Indeed.
Quite clear that Odsal stadium and Cougar park should be demolished, and replaced with a shared purpose-built stadium. As with all such new stadia, it needs to be built as near as possible to the strategic road network to maximise commercial use and cost-defraying opportunities. The best site in the district meeting that criterion would be at the top of the M606...

Same here but those terms are the sticking point. We would need to be equal partners in every respect and we wouldn't be wanting to be lumbered with any costs that might handicap the future of the club, i.e paying some third party for the privilege of being there, unless it's a peppercorn rent.
However while there's a chance of getting the stadium developed as part of the OSV we should be 100% behind it.

Hey mate, if we COULD get a shared stadium for the two clubs as I envisaged, I would be ecstatic. Suspect the location would not suit the good burghers of Keighley, although on a purely personal basis I would prefer the new shared stadium to be built somewhere off the new road between Keighley and Crossflats - cos that would be much nearer for me...!

| whats the proplem with bradford fans about maybe moving to valley parade genuine question. i remember going there when you guys was there and seemed good to me alot better then odsal, i know fans would rather have there own stadium ect but for me id rather the club be in a better shape with a nice stadium ect then risk losing a licence. at the moment bradford arnt in trouble about been kicked out of super beacuse bradford are a big club with decent crowds ect but as time goes on and crowds carry on falling ect and other teams get there new stadiums you could risk losing a place in super league. also i heard bradford city was in finacial difficulties so they would welcome the bulls to valley parade.

| I reckon that if the OSV gets the thumbs down on 16th Feb we'll be moving to Valley Parade.

| just been looking at pictures of valley parade and looks very good would be one of the best in super league and looks very big whats its capacity? i know the away stand needs redeveloping abit but i think away fans could accept it hhhaaa
i also remeber you having decent crowds there cant remeber but was it something like 11-12k average attendences for the 2 years you were there think it was 2 years anyway. overall if the new stadium dosent happen which in these times at the moment i dont think will happen but valley parade looks a great stadium and should be looked at by the bulls

| If the OSV gets mothballed then both clubs could share VP on equal terms. The Council could use the money they were putting towards Odsal to buy back Valley Parade from Gordon Gibb, some rows could be taken out of the front of the Kop so the pitch could be extended a little and the second tier of the main stand could be finished off so that it actually reaches the end of the playing area...in theory of course.

I think any changes to the currenct "shape" of the ground are pretty much impossible due to building restrictions (Unless some housing in demolished!)

The away stand at Valley Parade is home to home supporters at the moment. You can get a pretty good view from the upper tier of the stand. Capacity of the ground is 25,136 all seater. (i think). Quote: arliebird "the pitch could be extended a little and the second tier of the main stand could be finished off so that it actually reaches the end of the playing area...in theory of course.'"
At the moment, there's no real need for expansion at Valley Parade. Bradford City average out about 11,000 turnout, and the Bulls get just under 10,000. There were plans to expand Valley Parade to in excess of 35,000. This could be done by extending the main stand to the end of the pitch (as you said), add a second tier to the Midland Road stand and build a new bigger and better Bradford End Stand. So it has the potential to expand if it's required.

Isn't it the RFL's job seen as they own it?
