| Quote: RickyF1 "Definitely a benefit to fev as can only have so many loan players playing. Now he isn't a loan player they can have an extra one. Spoke to someone at Fev about it and was told that.'"
Exactly the reason. Fev regularly play their full quota of 5 loan/DR players, and by signing him permanently, he doesn't count on that quota and they can use more Leeds DR guys. Especially while they have Tom Holmes on loan from Hudds too. Same reason that the Jack Ormondroyd and Josh Walters moves were made permanent from Leeds earlier in the season.

| Well as he’s signed a permanent deal with them, I wouldn’t be surprised if his good form since joining them drops off

| Chisholm's honeymoon period will soon be over.

| Unbelievable that some of you are still harping on about his form dropping off and 'honeymoon periods'. No doubt the next time Featherstone come up against a side with a decent pack and get beaten up front, you will somehow twist this into Dane having a poor match and somehow say I told you so.
He's gone now so there's no point continuing the discussion, but even on his worst days Chisholm posed more of an attacking threat than either of our current halfbacks probably ever will.

| Quote: Betsy Bulls "Fev already had him for remainder of season. They won’t sign him permanently and have to pay more money unless they get him for longer than this season and it appears they haven’t, he’s still a Fev player until of 2019. There’s no benefit to Fev with this deal. Possibly we have had to officially remove him from our cap to bring someone in but let’s just say we were paying a % of his wages, Fev won’t have taken on the extra liability to get him for rest of season when they already had him for this period.'"

This for one
As I understand it he was signed as a loan player originally because his Visa was to play for Bradford, but we were paying all his wages. I now guess a new visa has come through to play for Fev meaning the signing can now be made a permanent deal (well at least for the rest of 2019), but does mean he will count towards the overseas quota for Fev and one less for Bradford.

I'm not totally sure he counts on overseas quota. Something about him playing for France, or having French Nationality, or having a fondness for baguettes and garlic. I forget the exact reason, but I'm sure I remember someone saying he doesn't count and it being something to do with the French.

| He counts as non federation trained rather than quota. TBH that whole thing is pretty confusing.

Non-fed is virtually the same. You can have a certain number (I've forgotten how many, it used to be 5) of non-fed/quota players, it's on the same list. If you have 4 quota and 1 non fed then you can't have the fifth overseas player. The only real difference is that he doesn't need a visa.

| Bizarre that some on here are still saying he is s**t. You can guarantee he will tear us a new one when he plays against us.

| I think he's a good player. I think that he doesn't play how JK wants his HB's to play. I think Rowan Milnes and Jordan Lilley will prove to be a good pairing and I also think that both will develop into better and more consistent players than Dane, in time. I don't think we need to sign another half back unless one of the current two pick up a long term injury. Sounds like that Shackleton is impressing too. Not sure of his age though.

| One mention of a honeymoon period (which all players have) and the Chisholm supporters lose their minds! Any comment regarding players having purple patches at the start of a new job aren't unfounded.

| I’ve noticed a few digs towards the club from Chisholm on his social media recently. Perhaps a hint towards his lack of maturity and professionalism especially since the Bulls have kept it very professional in wishing him well at his new club.
Yes, I have no doubt he will absolutely have a big game against us at Fev, it’s up to our current halfbacks to show why Kear has faith in them. He blows hot and cold and that isn’t likely to change at a Fev at this stage of his career.

| We all know he has the talent to be the best 6/7 in this league as he has proved so far at fev. I'll be honest I miss the performancea hes put in for them but we havent had it since he came over with moss. The bloke is likeable and an amazing talent but how many kear sides have a maverick in?. To be fair against Oldham last year I thought he controlled the game brilliantly and kept to structure and dominated the game. The highlights of his games for fev I'll be honest are sickening but I dont think hed have done it under kear

| Said it before and I'll say it again. He's not the type of player that Kear wants or plays. Milnes is a better kicker and Lilley is a better organiser. Both will get much better too.
