A person who i know and trust who does a lot of good work for the club told me on Friday that Ross Heptinstall(sp) was in daily contact with Mr Caisley. This might explain the some of the biased reporting.

Well it depends if we're in touch every day too. If not then they're going to run the opposition line especially if it's a story that sells papers. TBH Duncan Preston isn't a big hitter and his ramblings aren't going to change the opinions of anyone.

However I would like to see the T&A seek a comment from the club.

Newspapers are just dead trees these days, certainly at a local level. Most titles are on their backsides.

The T&A is becoming less relevant in this city so I wouldn't worry about their reporting too much.

They're still an opinion former and their habitual lying and selective editing on all manner of issues affecting the city is a major cause for concern.

I won't mourn their passing if and when they finally go under.

Yes we all know changes need to happen but I don't want the club rail roaded into the wrong regime change by a well timed but misinformed media attack

The paper seem to be seperating the sports reporter from these stories though -probably so they can maintain a day to day relationship on the playing side

Yes, if he did some deep investigating he would know about Mr 25% issuing a winding up petition last year for payment of interest on a loan to the club, which all other directors waived!

IF (and I'm not suggesting this is) this were some sort of publicity stunt by one of the shareholders looking take back control of the board it would be a pretty poor effort TBH. So this quite clearly isn't. Mr Preston's heart felt comments leave me feeling sad but with a warm affection for him at the same time. To see his beloved home City going to rack and ruin (cheers for the positive outlook mate) must be tearing him apart. I'm sure he'll be doing his all to help out the club by paying for his hospitality tickets everytime he turns up at Odsal.
