I agree, but we had this in the in-game thread yesterday. He's getting a wage to do a job. I doubt he has a clause in his contract saying he can go through the motions in his last few games if he gets told he won't be getting a deal at the end of the year.

Compare this with Crusaders, whos players have openly doubted they'll get their full wages, and all contracts for next year annulled. They united for each other in stuffing Wakefield yesterday. Ah Van should be putting himself in the shop window or at least showing proffesional pride.

I can't see much benefit in playing him for remainder of the season. Has plainly been 'phoning it in' for a few weeks now and the Bulls may as well give some opportunities to players who will still be with the club next year. Can't see that happening somehow.

I fully agree but if rumors are true he's already got a contract for next year with Widnes so doesn't need to put himself in the shop window. Hence why it just looks like he's just going through the motions.

He just can't defend so i'm glad to see back off. He wasn't a bad player, just not good enough for a qouta stop.

And just because someone is being paid doesn't mean they are going to be trying. People react differently.

If he was off quota I bet we'd keep him. Seems to have struggled when picked anywhere but on the wing. He's not the worst player ever to don a Bulls shirt but he does have a problem with his defence and his ball security. That added to his way of sloping around like he's not bothered haven't endeared him lately.
