| There was so much edge stuff from players that could have gone either way. If he had penalised for every hand in the tackle. Not 1 set of 6 would be completed and we would all be on here bleating how the ref has ruined the game.

That was a typical shocker.

What he said, though, wasn't wrong in my opinion.'"
And how do you propose officials don't have an impact ?
If they give a decision it has an impact on the game one way, if they don't give a decision it has an impact the other way. If you don't have officials you don't have a game.
It was Lynch's stupidity that was at fault. If he'd done nothing they wouldn't be a decision to make and Bulls would have cleared up the nothing kick and won the game.
As for Diskin, it may have been an heat of the moment comment but the RFL will have to fine him with a warning about future conduct or it will become open season for sour grapes against officials.

| Kicker taken out = penalty.
That one was the worst of the lot, but Herbert was taken out 3 times in that match and got nothing.

But is it fair that Players, Coaches, chairmen and even fans are allowed to be criticized but if a ref has a bad game everybody has to keep their mouths shut?

We can critise the ref as much as we like, but not the players or coaches.
Never heard a play have a go at another player on Sky saying they had ruined the game.
So it's not exactly an equal position the critisims for players and coaches come from.

| Thats the disappointment for me. Not watched replay yet but sounds like a pen a dumb decision to take out kicker. What annoys me is the countless things he misses yet spots that at the end!

| When Lynch was penalised for a steal on LMS just before LMS scored he got the ball before anyone else made contact.
Diskin's right in a way, but not about the last penalty.

| He was awful for both sides in all fairness, gave you some stupid decisions to you and some stupid decisions to us. Video ref may have given Eastmond's try another day but in the end I think a draw was a pretty fair result. Bradford have certainly improved since the start of the year, all be it on a wet miserable evening.

| Nice to see video ref getting things right for once today though, and bloody hell, in our favour! Makes a pleasant change.

| The Eastmond try wasn't a try and was deservedly chalked off...just.
We've all seen 'em given, haven't we?

| On the Eastmond try, as jonni says we've all seen them given. There's arguments for and against it, fair result in the end.

| Nothing wrong with the Lynch penalty but Wilkin should have been penalised for the late hit on Herbert.

But imagine if the boot had been on the other foot and it was your two points. Regardless of what he missed or got wrong or whatever (and there was all three for both sides in that match), that call was crucial. Gaskell is not slow. He looks like he should be but he isn't. There is every chance he could have got to that ball faster than the two Bradford players. It was only right he should have the fair chance to do so with only seconds left on the clock just as it would have been had the roles been reversed. In fact, that call was probably his most important because there was no way back as time had run out.
