This too is something I heard a few weeks ago just before it was announced that he was parting company with Hudds . May well be some truth in this.

Didn't Mason have a season or so to run on his contract when he was shown the door?

If so this could be the reason he has not been announced as a Bulls player yet? with his legal advisors maybe negotiating a pay off with the midgets for compensation...

I wouldn't be at all surprised if he's agreed terms with us, if so good signing.

Or it could be he is an arrogant git & is holding out for an undeserved amount.

Mason has had talks at several clubs up to press, including Bradford, so he will have been at odsal at some point.

Sidlow added as it seems pretty certain, it was only a matter of time once the bad news re Salford councils decision on a loan for the reds came out. Also a final tidy up ie Murphy added. big question looking at that squad is not if but when Langley is called on to play prop, there are good options so it will be interesting to see how it all pans out, likewise the centre and wing combinations.

Would have thought situation at salford actually makes sidlow more doubtful unless he becomes a free agent. It was always rumoured as a swap deal with platt giving up last yr of his deal and going to Salford on less money but a longer deal. Can't see him agreeing to that until Salford get sorted.

The T&A article says that Sidlow has been released from his last year of his contract - it also says that FC thinks Platt is a big part of his first team squad and not going anywhere

Shame about Mason, could have added a bit of fire to the pack. As for Sidlow, not seen much of him but i believe he is regarded as a bit of a plodder?

Oops my bad. Hadn't seen t&a article when I posted. As sidlows a free agent now that changes everything.

Think plodders a bit unfair, I'd call him solid without being anything special. More a sibbit type player than a lynch if that makes sense. Will do a job for us and probably won't give as many penalties away as mason would have.
