Yes, you have a right to smoke and so you should. However, I also have a right not to have someone blowing smoke into my personal space which is f*cking horrible!!!

Yeah I get it. You dont like smoke, so why dont you do yourself a favour and go stand or sit in a no smoking zone instead of complaining when somebody lights up and the inevitable smoke blows near you.

I'd probably belt somebody if they threw a pint in my face, that's a calculated and directed action. I dont choose which way the wind blows and i certainley dont direct my smoke at somebodys face. However, if I were surrounded by a group of heads I would move, because I dont particularly like drunk people.

If I didnt want to be arround drunk people I wouldnt go to a pub or stand near them, so if you dont want to be around smokers then dont go in a area that permits smoking or stand near them.

You have blatently missed the point. Your the one being anti-social by puffing away so why should I and other that don't smoke have to put up with you blowing smoke around?

You saying you'd belt someone who threw a pint in your face was exactly the reaction I was looking for. Of course you would, so would I. Yet if you were to smoke around me, inevitably I would end up breathing in some of your excess pollution and you think thats perfectly acceptable.

I put it to you that what you are doing is equally as offensive yet you only disagree because you are a smoker.

The point is if you want to do something that effects you, then go ahead. However, if what you are doing effects others then that is out of order. It should be you that is the one that moves, why should anyone have to comprimise their place on the terrace just to suit your selfish habbit???

Throwing a pint in someones face can be considered a criminal offence, smoking on the Odsal terraces (atm) cannot.

What would be your reason for throwing a pint aswell? A smoker smokes because they enjoy the cigarrette, you drink because you enjoy the pint, why would you waste it by chucking it at him!? I realise this isn't a realistic scenario, but when you look at them both, they are very different.

That's how I find the anti smoking brigade TBH. You've got pubs, restaurants, planes, train stations, taxis, cinemas and offices now you're whinging about people smoking outside.

I feel like starting up again as a matter of principle.

The best anti smoking fascists are the ones that complain about smokers standing outside train stations or in beer gardens. "I have to walk through their smoke boo hoo hoo". Well you put them there so it's hard lines Adolf.

I actually cannot believe people are having ago at anti smoking....are you people that narrow minded!! Its not about ing you smokers off! For one smoking is possibly (i use possibly) the strangest and most stupid activity i know (please keep the return activities you will spout reasonable please). The ban was enforced to try and reduce passive smoking reduce smokers cost to NHS and not mickey off the majority of people who dont smoke in public places! The terraces should be a smoke free zone....and if people cant with hold the earge to smoke for 40 minutes you should be embarrased with yourselves

I'm not a drama queen either... both parents smoke, brother smokes and think the passive smoking argument has been made enough times to argue about it on a RL forum. I'm just trying to stick up for those (including myself) who would like to watch the game we love without having to breathe in something I don't particularly find pleasant.

Yes, i don't like smoking and i feel i have a right to say i'm not keen on smokers smoking on the terrace, likewise you are free to have your opinion.

I couldn't give a toss if smoking is allowed or not on the terraces at Odsal as I don't smoke in fact I'm surprised it hasn't been banned yet on the terraces it pretty much has been everywhere else.
