But at club level you cannot deny he has been a great player for Leeds.
Perhaps Donaldson could do a similar role for us, ie play a bit of 6 and 13. |

I heard from somebody who's guesses are pretty spot on that.....
We're looking at signing Aaron Gorrell from Brisbane. I've never seen him but he's a Hooker so that would probably mean that Newton is Wakefield bound as people are saying.

Yeah he played at Catalans last year and couldn't get back in the team when McGuire started playing 9 to accomodate Mogg in the halves.
He's ok, but I can't say I ever looked at him and thought "I'd like to see him playing at Bulls".
If we do sign him, I wouldn't be thrilled but wouldn't be gutted either. One of those "wait and see how he does" kind of signings. |

Spot on. I'm a massive Sinfield fan, he's a great player & great captain, a model professional, but he's not big enough for a world class LF nor fast enough for a SO. He fits in perfectly in a Leeds team full of great players but cannot raise his game to a higher level when playing against the Aussies. Memory fades but I think he did ok against them coming on as reserve hooker. |

I honestly wouldn't want to commit myself one way or the other on it. It COULD be a decent signing, it COULD be a poor one. I think it really would be one of those "wait and see" situations.
I would hope though that since he's hardly a world class player, we wouldn't give too long a contract, just in case it doesn't work out. |
