| I seem to have picked up repetitive neck strain injury. Due to continually glancing to my left to look at the match clock to see how much longer there was to endure

As shocking as last night was we all said at start of season we need to target certain games for wins and that wasn't 1 of them. As painful as it is to say I would rather a performance like that against that lot than against Wakey or London.'"
Well which ones are we targeting in next few weeks? Wigan? Warrington? Saints? What if Wakey play with some pride in their derby and beat Castleford, then come up with a shock win over Widnes. We could be 10pts down. Targeting wins agains London Nd Wakey aren't going to save us. We need to beat a couple of big teams.

| Look we all pretty much knew in advance that we weren't likely to win any of the next few games (see my psreadsheet discussion in the relegation therad) but that is a long chalk away from lamely saying that this "was not one of the games we were targetting". WTF does THAT mean? I mean, in what way are we not "targetting" the Leeds game? To the point, what difference is there, in a game we AARE targetting, and one where we are not?
Do we tell the players to take it easy in a non-target game? Do we tell them, look, ya gonna lose so just go through the motions?
No? Then what else? I mean, the suggestion must mean something. Or else what is the point of saying it?
Tell you what if this is the case publish a list of the games we officially ARE targetting and we'll just go to those. I expect and demand them to target the next game and to bust a gut in that game. Don't look any further than that, except maybe if we have to play Saints or Wigan away in the cup two days before we play Wakey in the league, or something like that.

If that happens then I will go to Texas, and buy and eat every hat in the State.

| Thought the effort was good, unlike last week when we looked decidedly lethargic, but sadly we were outclassed by a far better side. Kear, Kearney, Purts and Donno [till he went off] were best of the lot for me, with Gaskell taking his try well. In general, though, we didn't respect possession and attempted some barmy off-loads. I guess, it's fair to say, we weren't helped by the in-game injuries either, which restricted our substitutions.
Our major problem though, from which most of our problems stem, is losing collision. When you are going backwards in the tackle you can't get set for the next [you'll never get good line speed if you're still trying to make the ten when the ball is played]and this also impacts on the kicking on the last tackle, with the kicker, seemingly always having to make hurried clearances. Unfortunately, the personnel available isn't such as to make me believe it's a situation which is going to change in the immediate future.

| I just listened to the Cummins interview and agreed with pretty much of all he said.
Unfortunately it was more like an interview with a brassed off, perplexed fan than with a head coach.
We are back to the situation where the coach is telling us in public that in certain situations, his players are not doing what he has trained them to do. He moans about the number of times we make really bad decisions and cough up possession. He talks about playing "like a bunch of kids".
And that's the coach.

| So whatever problems we have, injuries, losing collisions etc. - can somebody explain to me how a team of 17 professional SL players can repeatedly give up possession somewhere between the opposition 10 and 30 on their right, and one movement later, concede a walk in try, 80 yards away, in the opposite corner.
We were watching that in the stand and scratching our heads; it wasn't like it was extraordinary Leeds play or anything; we just didn't have anybody there - anywhere. Whose fault was that? When the opposition go all the way from their own half and end up with a 48 man overlap on our line, there are issues.

| Courtesy of T&Awe’re not having enough pressure on the opposition’s line.
“When we do, we look like a team who haven’t been down there for a long time.
We’re not building any pressure
our game sense is not good enough.
there were silly offloads.
You finally force a repeat set and then you make an error on play one.”
we are letting each other down.
People are chasing after they have made an error
we are getting into situations where we are just panicking.
we’re not playing anywhere near our potential'"

| He's missing the most crucial problem of all. The defensive line doesn't move and is conceding huge amounts of easy metres and breaks. I could sympathise if this was in the last 10 minutes of each half as a beaten out-muscled pack will tire.
What is deeply alarming is that we start each game so flat and unaggressive in defence and then, actually improve marginally. It can't be 13 guys collectively ignoring the coach all at the same time. It has to be a bigger issue.

Curious that he is publicly criticising players and admitting that they are often completely ignoring instructions and training plays.
Suggests to me that if he has not already "lost the dressing room" then he will have done now.

| To me it still comes back to the fact that you can't play rugby on your heels and that's just where you are if your forwards spend the game going backwards. At the end of the day [to keep my cliche content up] there is a reason why they say it's forwards who decide whether you win the game and the backs say by how much.
