I've been posting on here since the official bulls board was taken downand I've never been so annoyed. I made quite a reasoned and polite post which I thought added to the topic of discussion. In return, I have been insulted by a person who respons using starred expletives and winks.

This used to be a place of genuine discussion. Now its going the same way as the T&A comment boxes. ie, agree with me or I will use offensive language. I think Ive had enuogh.

I apologise to the majority, especially Adey, who althuogh Ive never met him seems a decent bloke who will have a proper discussion, and agree to disagree, but some people on here are downright rude .

my original comment still applies - have you seen wigans away effort? almost as bad as the home one icon_lol.gif

and hull kr are pretty certain to have away shirt in stock as they only launched it last week!.

seriously though anyone considered effect pledge campaign will have had on shirt stocks. bearing in mind shirts will have been ordered well before we knew how succesful it would be? and also considering lead/delivery times if we're getting new stocks in 2-3wks then they will have ordered 2nd batch early december just after ticket deadline anyway.

At end of day if worst thing people can find to complain about this year is having to wait a few weeks to get a shirt then it will be a vast improvement on last few years.

I know but just think about two weeks on Sunday Matt.

11,000 season ticket holders all turning up for the Wigan (many didn't the pre season games) and say 30% of them all wanting to have a look in the club shop and purchase a shirt.

This is lost revenue to the club.

Only lost revenue if they take the huff and dont buy a shirt at all. Most people will be reasonable and just get one when they are back in stock. We should be pleased that we sold out and had to order more IMO.

It depends how many we placed in the first batch but yes I agree it's all positive news and those in this thread huffing and puffing will just have to wait for the fresh batch to arrive.

Edit: You know what, sod the original post. I'll be nice for a change instead.

I apologise if you took offence, it wasn't intended. Simply trying to get my point across more vehemently.

Obviously there's those of us that think the club are right - making sure they don't overstock and lose money, and those who think the club should make sure they have the shirts in at all times.

The club would probably lose a certain amount of revenue either way, but I trust Duckett would know which is best.

However, instead of us arguing it on here, if it bothers people that much then e-mail the club and see what they have to say. Maybe if they realise how much of a problem some fans view it as they may look at different options. I'm sure Stuart or Ryan would be happy to e-mail you back if you want to get your point across.

theres a fairly important difference between the two possible situations. If the club doesnt order enough shirts then it misses out on Potential revenue.

If it over orders and has to sell shirts at a loss then it is losing money it already has in the bank.

Whilst you would hope we would maximise our income streams we should risk losing money already in the bank to do it. Think its a pretty unique set of circumstances this year due to the large increase in support base wanting a shirt combined with late release in squad numbers (due to sheer number of incoming player/orford situation) causing a abnormal buying pattern.

Hopefully club will learn lessons and situation won't be repeated, although I still dont see it as such a big issue overall.
