| i think teams like wakey ,HKR possibly salford possibly widnes possibly hull ,will be looking over there shoulders at religation next season ,i dont think the redused money for london and especally the bulls will be a big factor the bulls have been playing on half super leage money for the past 2 seasons and still turning so called better teams over abet not often ,would anybody back against a bulls team that had been winning more than they have been losing against any of the teams above that had a poor season ,money does not garentee you success ,team spirt , winning mental attitude and confidance. i believe does

Based on what? Money spent? Quality of players/
Bulls should be nowhere near relegation surely either? But if you don't win any games...

| May seem odd but salford have been lucky that bradford have been total crap this year, otherwise we may have taken the 4 pts from them instead of the other way around, however next year i can only see them getting better aslong as they dont sign players for the sake of it, and strengthen where they need to.

| For Salford, it all comes down to accounting & juggling the cap to make sure everyone fits in. As a team, they have, like most teams in the top8, a good spine of international players. But Salford also have a couple of genuine world class players now as well, which should make the difference in close games once everyone is used to playing with each other.
As a short term option, it will work well, longer term, they need to get the academy up & running, which the good Dr is working towards.

| Well, bearing in mind there are only 12 teams in SL from next season and 4 will drop into the 'middle 8', then there are going to be most likely 5-6 or maybe even more teams that are [isomewhere[/i near relegation.
Unless one or more teams do a Bulls-like implosion, then its going to be 'squeaky bum' time for at least half of SL this time next year...

| That is the illusion the RFL is trying to create, though it's mostly smoke and mirrors.
A team on built for £1m V another built for around double that figure has a very distinct disadvantage, even before you factor in that the SL side have also been honed by playing at a higher level, against better quality opponents.
Truth is, there would have been more P&R under licensing than under the new scheme. That said, for an ex-SL team, the best time to take advantage is next season whilst the iron is still warm...ish.

If you were that confident, you would have said they won't be near relegation

Not sure it is much of an illusion though. Yes there is the money difference in terms of a squad, but the actual 17 that make it onto the pitch is probably going to be of similar ability and cost (Championship teams should if built right be able to field a SL quality starting line up with lower quality backs ups).
There is also the confidence factor. I'd suggest that a marginally lower cost team with bags of confidence from a successful first half of the season could be competitive with a higher costing team low on confidence after a poor first half of season.
Prior to Jimmy taking over, I'd have probably said a Bulls vs Leigh game would be very competitive as would London vs Fev.
One thing is that its sure going to be interesting!!!

Even if you beat one of the 4 SL sides in the "super8 league", likelihood is you will get 4th and they will get 5th. So still another one-off SL game to go. Though you would get home advantage.

Salford, I would say will be nowhere near. Hull shouldn't be, but if they continue with an ape as coach they might.

So what P & R have we seen under licensing?

He said there would have. The odd young buck would have got in every three years. Say wakey makes way for leigh courtesy of better franchise plan. Under this purely cosmetic promotion system no one comes up. I understand that Bulls fans simply must not believe that to be true but I really think it is.
