| The collective apoplexy of those who have wished ill on us is gathering pace, I see.
Should be good value, watching them all foaming at the mouth, going a delicate shade of bright purple as they smash their fists and heads against the nearest walls...

No, he wasn't. Just stating the fact. And making it very clear that he would love one to come along, and he would even gladly stand aside for one. Sort of the opposite of infantile and disparaging, then.
Quote: Cripesginger "Welcome to the Sugar Daddy club...its not so bad is it.'"
The idea is stated as to run a successful business, not to pump millions into a bottomless pit for the foreseeable. So no, I don't think it is the case at all that OKB is a sugar daddy. It's a saviour, is what it is.

been told OK has provided very substantial guarentees. As a wealthy guy backing the club's existence he is a sugar daddy ( Oh yes he is...)
Imperative that he gets a CEO and Head coach with the skill set to manage the club and expectations through the next 2 years.

I think I have a far better idea than some of the ill-informed cyberspace tittle-tattle. And he effectively told people anyway in his reported comments. Maybe he will expand on those, and point the finger more, in due course, but being the sort of decent guy he is I think he will more likely just want to go away and chill out and recover for a bit, as would be well-deserved.

Point of order. A guarantor pays nothing unless the guarantee is called upon. So if he did, then that would surely make him no more than a Sweetener Daddy?

Hood was because he was using a term like Sugar daddy - not just in press statements - which is a perjorative term. For an experienced professional Chairman it was an infantile and disparaging term to use.
Which Buyers of RL teams have stated anything other than a wish to run it as a successful business? I do concede that OK may very quickly get sick of putting money into 'a bottomless pit' and pull the pin. Maybe the RFL share that view, thus the probationary period? Hopefully he can get the club on an even keel.

Been told OK has bought the club, settled monies owed to SL, made money available to the club, waived sky monies AND provided substantial guarentees. More a Sugar Daddy with added Sprinkles?

| Adey - do you think he was more forced out then? Noble to return?
And OK is not a Sugar Daddy, a Sugar Daddy is a person who can afford to just pile money into the club. Peter Hood was not a sugar daddy and neither is Omar Khan. If OK had millions then fair enough. People like Davy and Moran are sugar daddies. Pumping money in, yes this method works (as seen with Moran) but Davy's hasn't. If Davy pulls the pin Huddersfield are screwed simple. Hopefully OK will get the point where if he leaves it won't be huge (like Davy leaving or Moran leaving).

| Quote: Cripesginger "that is right...a players contract should cease to exist if the club drop out of SL. For 13 clubs a player may have a reasonable expectation that they will have 2 more years in SL for the Bulls it is potentially more doubtful. Sure Bulls will offer contracts of more than a year. They will probably have to pay 'overs' to get players.'"
love this guy - if we follow his theory, no player can be signed for longer than the next licencing period!!
