Lacking a sugar daddy, this club will always spend every penny of its income. Therefore its net assets will always be modest, and the shares will always be of modest value.
And he has given heaven knows how much of his time in recent years to running the business, when he could (and probably should) have been running his own business. For free. Care to put a value on that? It will be many hundreds of thousands of pounds.
Are you ready, willing and able to step up and take his place? To do it for nothing, take on very large personal financial exposure and pay a modest amount for some shares that you will probably never make much, if anything on when you can finally get out?
And if not, do you know a man who is?
Regardless of how good or how bad a job he has done, he was the one who did it. I did not see any others queuing up to take the job on. And, since until recently he only held 7% of the shares, the other shareholders could have booted him out anytime they chose. If they could have done a better job themselves.
